• 12 February 2008 - Chicken update

So we have had our chickens for 7 months now, and there have been some big changes and a bit of excitement.



In the beginning.  One of these died due to an unfortunate encounter with a door.

The hawk attack or "And then there were almost four."  Christopher heard something hit the porch and when he opened the back door a red-tailed hawk was attacking one of our chickens right there on the back porch!  He scared it off and so I didn't get any shots of that, but this is some of the aftermath. (Whimsy lived and was suddenly much more affectionate.)

• 5 June 2007 - The Coop

Our chicken coop is finally done.  I say "finally" like it has taken forever, but in reality it took  two days spread out over two weekends.

 

A $20 Salvation Army Armoire- taken apart and put back together a little differently.
