if it says 'Not Responding' one more time..i have an annoying computer. :D but anyway. Im almost done with Blue Noon already. im excited! And then im thinking about finishing this story*, so i can enter it in something. Hannah actually just entered a poem into this contest to win $100. She says she'll know if she won sometime soon.. but she really wants me to actually 'finish a story' that i start. OKAY! IM GUILTY. SHEESH. it is not my fault i loose interest in stories really quickly. It is not my fault i get half-way through chapter fifteen and find out that i totally lost the plot while i was sleeping. SEE! ITS NOT MY FAULT! I do have a very interesting iea for this story, soo.. i found a camera im insisting on saving up for. and if the link doesnt work, its a Kodak Z1015 IS on Costco.com, for $229. But its really nice. click this and see if it shows the camera. school was fun today! i cant believe i keep saying that. But math has been really enjoyable. just dont tell anyone i said that. so! without further waiting, i give you my story x] Chapter One - Like any Monday night at exactly 10pm, the big five story museum loomed over the city. Crammed with ancient history that nobody ever read. The windows were exactly the same, five of them on each wall, staring out over the horizon. The big wooden doors that looked like they were shipped here on the express train from the medieval times was still locked up and shut tight. The walls were still the color of stained teeth, and it still had the odd smoked salmon smell. And like always, it was still sitting on Main Street, a block and a half from my apartment. All the lights were off, all the curtains were closed, every entrance was locked. So where the heck was the sound coming from? Everyone thinks the place is ’haunted with the history of Miller Grove’, but seriously, its just there for teenagers to study the history for school reports, and for the tourists to find out about the lovely town they dropped into on the way to wherever they were going. But that sound still buzzed, and there was still heavy footsteps inside, like someone didn’t realize they hadn’t given out the closing warning, and locked somebody up inside there, to stay angry until tomorrow morning, bright and early. I crouched just below a window and sat on my knees. Then slowly tried to peer inside. But of course, like any other night, the curtains were closed along with everything else. So I’d never know what was going on. I circled the building, scanning the walls. Maybe they forgot to lock the back? I walked quickly to the door and tried to open it. But just as my hand touched the knob it turned. Somebody was opening it from inside. I jumped back and ran to the corner of the building, trying to stay out of sight. The door opened, revealing a rather large figure. And by large I don’t mean muscle. I stared at him, watching as he walked outside and shut the door quietly, and walked back around front. I glanced around, then took a step forward. Right onto a twig. I jumped back behind the building just as he turns around. He scanned right were I was standing, then slowly walked back to the door. He bent down and examined the twig, then turned back around and walked back to the front of the building. A few seconds later, I heard a car start and crept out of my hiding spot, glanced around to make sure nobody was left, and then walked slowly back to the door. I tried to turn the knob several times, all to no avail. Then I smelt the oddest smell. Like sour milk mixed with coffee and bad bananas. I gulped, turned around, and came face to face with the big guy. i want icecream.ahh yes. the secret is out. even though it looks below 40degrees outside, i want icecream. it isnt my fault that i love it so much :/ soo. todays been fun. i got up at 9AM. (ack) after being up listening to cyotes create a mob in the vacant lot across the street from us. stupid wild dogs .-. sigh. then i took a shower, drank two cups of coffee.., had some Reeses Puffs cereal for breakfast while nicole was singing the commercial and wondering why my allowence didnt double and why the concert wasnt in our house yet, and then i did school. and get this. i actually enjoyed math today. i wanted to do more math today. and then i slapped myself when i said it was fun, and my head hurt for a few minutes. and i wrote another chapter to another story, which ill post on here soon, cause i had to write a mystery. yay! its actually really good. my dad thought it was funny, and nicole was literally screaming at me to wirte more. so i dont know, maybe i will? dont want to wake up to that every morning. and hmm. im already half way through Blue Noon. but maybe thats cause i started where i left off when the first two books got here in the mail [: and im having somebody make me a really awesome template, that ill use for either this blog or my writing/song/poem thing. but it'll be cool. and tomorrow's awana, which means i get to see Jake again. I saw my friend Paige's pictures of a bonfire once, and I thought I would take a picture of the fireplace. I LOVE this picture!! Comment and tell me what you think!!! What Matthew Said ~ PinkTonight in Jr. Church we were practicing for the Christmas Play, which is actually going to be switched around and not a play, just some songs mixed in with the adult specials, but that's beside the point. The two kids I had, Collin & Matthew, knew the five or six songs really well, so half an hour later, we were done with the music. So they just played games and such for another 45 minutes till church got out -haha! Here's a quick conversation that happened between Matthew (age 6) and me. I thought it was funny/cute. :) Me: Matthew, if you had $100, what would you do with it? Matthew: I'd save it up for $1,000. Me: And what would you do with $1,000? Matthew: Save it for a million. Me: And with a million? Matthew: Save it for a trillion. Me: And with a trillion? Matthew: I don't know.. I guess I'd buy something. Me: What would you buy? Matthew: The whole entire Star Wars collection!

Black Friday ~ Black (so very, very black)I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was very relaxing.. I was so excited to be able to watch Elf last night.. Elf is one amazing movie. :) However, it is late and I only really want to write about Black Friday... indeed, it was very black. I don't do black friday, ok? I never have. I would never be able to stand it... I don't do crowds. I don't do waiting-in-line-for-like-three-hours. I don't do lots of people. And I don't do well in crowds. Have I mentioned I'm not a big be-around-lots-of-crazy-people type of person? Several of my friends told me that they were participating in black friday...getting up at 4am or earlier. CRAZY PEOPLE!!!!!! I'm proud to say (ok, maybe a little embarassed, too) that I slept until 9:30am. I had to be at work around 12. It was so dead at work.. if felt like we only had 5 calls all day. Around 2 or so I arranged to go to LifeWay because they were, of course, having a big sale, and I wanted to get a few things. A few of the things I cannot mention, as they are gifts and I don't want anyone to find out who may read this.. ;). But one of the items was Jeremy Camp's new CD, Speaking Louder Than Before. It came out a few days ago, and LifeWay put it on sale for only eight bucks today and tomorrow. I thought that by the the afternoon it wouldn't be so bad.. not as many shoppers.. that people might have gone home to nap. I left around 2:30.. probably got to LifeWay 20 minutes later or so. They don't have a big parking lot...and I had to park at the end of it because it was so jammed. Not a good sign. So I went inside and I found the things I was looking for. The lines were very, very long, even though they had all three registers open. I was having a hard time, though, figuring out where the lines were because they ran into the main aisle and people were EVERYWHERE looking at stuff. Getting in my way, more accurately. I knew what I wanted and evidently, they did not. They were browsing... right in my way. I had finally figured out where to stand in line when an employee came up and said he'd take people in the back at the customer service counter. Several people opted for that and headed back there... and I was hoping that enough people would go back there that the line up front would dissapate and I'd get through quicker. But not enough people went to the back, and it didn't, so I went to the back, and only two people were ahead of me. I waited.. somewhat patiently.. and finally it was my turn and I put my stuff up and he tells me the total. I had exactly fifty dollars, because I had figured it all up at church before I left and wrote a check for cash. I had it figured up in such a way that I had a little bit extra, just in case. But once I got to LifeWay, I swtiched up on some of the stuff I got, but I was sure I'd have enough. He told me the total... $50.35. I was like "yes!" and I gave him the 50, telling him I had the 35 in change in my purse, and I started digging around. But guess what? I had switched purses about two days ago and had only 7 cents on me. ARGHHHH I was like, I cannot believe this. So I had him take off the CD and just got the other stuff. Then I took my stuff out to the car and looked between the seats to scrounge for some change so I could go back in and get the CD. Turned out there was some cash, so I went back in and back the same window. There was a couple being helped and no one in line, so I stepped right up and started waiting. And I waited. And I waited. It seemed the couple had some scruple with a purchase and were trying to figure it out. Pretty soon a pretty big line started forming and I was getting frustrated with waiting and getting pretty bored, too. So I went back up the front registers. There were only two lines, but three registers. Both lines were the same size, so I just picked one. Neither line moved for what felt like 15 minutes. By this time I was going crazy. I sent out a couple text messages to a few friends.. only one responded. I told her about my woes and she told me what she got while she shopped. Finally, the line started moving. By this time it was about 3:30. Yeah. An hour after I'd left. I'd been in LifeWay, in LINE, for nearly 40 minutes altogether. Evidently, the credit card machine had been down. Evidently, all three people being checked out were paying with credit cards. And evidently, the people were just waiting all that time. I was paying cash. So I was a little ticked. Finally it was my turn... and I noticed that the other line was ..gone! The other two employees has made the line disappear that fast. Why hadn't my line gone down so quick? Because evidently, I picked the one where the lady liked to talk. Yeah. I was so glad to pay and be out of there! I finally made it back around 4pm. That was my first and last Black Friday shopping experience. I have since vowed to never, ever, EVER go to any store on Black Friday EVER again. Even if it is "just" LifeWay.
