I am thinking... things are getting pretty complicated here at home. While I try to obey what I feel the Holy Spirit is saying to me, my dh is walking a different path. He is frustrated that I don't want to do my own thing on the Sabbath any more and frustrated that I am teaching the kids to keep it holy. I also am trying to eat kosher and he doesn't see anything wrong with pork or shellfish. I'm not sure what to do.
From the learning rooms...We had a rough day on Friday and I finally gave it up for my own sanity. I was getting pretty angry, but part of it has to do with the family tension that is happening.
I am thankful for... our house. We have such a nice place to live.
From the kitchen...
Monday ~ Pancakes and eggs.
Tuesday ~ Potluck with friends - I'll probably make corn on the cob or a salad.
Wednesday ~ Borscht with bisquits
Thursday ~ Husband will cook
Friday ~ Crockpot dish with Challah or another bread if it can be done without stress!
Saturday ~ cold meals or left overs
Sunday ~ Monterreys.
I am creating...chaos where there should be peace. Lord help us!
I am going...to drive my husband crazy if I can't figure this out.
I am wearing...velour pants and a comfy grey and blue long-sleeved t-shirt, and my hair is pulled back in a ponytail.
I am reading...my One Year Bible, a book called "Rain from God" about some Native Americans in the early colonial years.
I am hearing...rain on the roof.
Around the house...the girls are in the basement watching a movie, the baby is napping, dh is in the kitchen finishing up a pumpkin pie he made with my 9 yo daughter.
One of my favorite things... reading to the girls.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Praying a lot. Homeschooling, keeping the house clean, playing and reading and such with my 4 yo and my 1 yo.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Saturday we went for a walk along the west fork of the Cimarron River.
This is the bridge we crossed - a tree that fell across the river. A bit hazardous with two little ones, but not undoable.
The kids had a great time wading in the water, throw rocks in, and playing in the sand.
We have a new nickname for our youngest...
...Bear Bait!

How I wish it was raining here. I miss the rain. We were supposed to start school tomorrow, but our books have not arrived yet. So, we'll start when they get here. Bummer for me, great for the kids (in their opinion).
HI there,
I'm sorry you have tension with your husband right now. I will pray for you!! Our roles as wives can be very tricky when caught in between what we believe and what our husbands want, but that role is also very powerful in determining the atmosphere of our homes. I pray you find wisdom!
One thing have I desired of the Lord that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty, the beauty of the Lord. To inquire in His temple, the temple of the Lord.
This is my everyday thoughts about being a mother to three little ladies (11, 9 and 4) and a two year old son. We serve God full-time, and I am a physician assistant. I have the most awesome husband in the world. I am trying to seek and serve God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.
