Under His Construction

• Jan. 30, 2007 - Socialization vs. Sociability

I thought you all would appreciate this.

Do you know what socialization means?  It is training one to accept the popular views in all areas.  This is indoctrination into Socialism!

Sociability means to show your neighbors love and kindness, generosity, hospitality, etc!

Which of these do we want our children to learn?  And where are they best going to learn this?

If you are interested in hearing more wonderful teaching on the principles of Biblical education and Family- here is a link to 4 free downloads from the teachings of Katherine Dang (a Principle Approach educator)- you will need to scroll down the page and click on 'Next" and when the new page comes up, then scroll down until you see her name, download and listen!  They are excellent teachings and you can find them here.

ah...my favorite topic!

Sorry I didn't visit you sooner, but I've had problems getting HSB to load.

One definition I found defines socialization as "enculteration" which essentially means indoctrination.

It also means turning something over to collective or state control, as in socialized medicine. Now why on earth would you want to do that to your children?

Hi Dana! So glad you stopped by! I defined these in my own words can you tell? ( : I love what you added here- it makes it all so clear what the ps agenda is and when the skeptics ask the infamous question "what about socialization?" we can confidently reply "No thanks!"
BTW- I loved your post on the weather better predicted by the nuthatch! ( :
