We have a unique situation in our home this year, because we have two little girls (9 and 10) come to our house after school every day for a few hours. This has been so very interesting for me to see two A students from the public school and how my (oops I mean God's) training of the kids compares. My oldest two are 2nd and 3rd graders and these girls are 4th and 5th graders. Here are some examples of what I have observed:
-2nd grade son corrects 5th graders inaccurate math homework!
-4th grader quits a subtraction math game within minutes because she can't do the basic subtraction it requires!
-3rd grade daughter informs 4th and 5th graders that Christopher Columbus did not come over on the Mayflower or the Cauliflower (not kidding!) but he did come over on the Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria!
These are just a taste of the huge difference I am seeing, and I do not mention these to boast myself as a teacher (again I am just a vessel, God is the teacher) but to show the superiority of home education!
Stay tuned for round two in the not so distant future! ( :
