Under His Construction

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S!

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful day and share some of our favorite V-day ideas-

Our favorite homemade Valentine which also happens to be the best play clay recipe I have found can be found here. As you can imagine these were very well recieved by the recipients! The kids have always loved playing 'Hide the Heart' where we simply take turns hiding a red paper heart from each other.

Our favorite place to finds tons of great ideas for Valentine's and all year round is here.  We love, love, love their ideas!

Enjoy!

I bought each of my children a carnation while I was out running errands. They were SO excited over this 50 cent present. In less than five minutes, my husband accidentally bumped into my son's flower, snapping off its head.

Poor Baby Bear dissolved into a mess of tears, sobbing over his broken flower. My dear hubby took the stem and inserted a straightened paper clip and pushed the head down on it to support the stem. He then carefully bandaged the "wound" and my son smiled wide between his tears. "Daddy fixed it!"

It was so sweet.

That is so sweet! I love how such little things are so big in kids eyes. I took some leftover red streamer and made a valentine curtain for each of my kids to wake up to in their doorway with little paper heart messages attached up and down the streamers- the kids loved it!
