Under His Construction

• Apr. 4, 2007 - Cycle of a Nation

I have an amazing homeschooling resource called the ‘Encyclopedia of Bible Truths for School Subjects’ by Ruth Haycock. I love and use it all the time! I was reading through the history section the other day and came across this cycle seen in nations through history. It fits our nation so well that I had to share it.

1. Bondage - captivity, slavery

2. Spiritual Faith - turning to God

3. Acts of Great Courage - doing what is right despite difficulty, danger, pain

4. Liberty and Abundance - freedom and great blessing

5. Selfishness - regard for one’s own interest (at other’s expense)

6. Complacency - quiet satisfaction

7. Apathy - indifference, lack of emotion

8. Dependency - control or influence by another

9. Bondage - captivity, slavery

Anyone want to take a stab at it and line this cycle up with our own history of America? Please share your thoughts and when I next get a chance to post I will also share how I think it lines up.
