I have a really funny story to share but am not sure if I can type it in such a way as to impart the humor of it correctly but it is funny enough to try.
My son Garrett has been reading the book 'The Secret Cave' (also known as 'Twenty and Ten' ) about a group of group of French children at a boarding school that hide a group of Jewish children in a nearby cave during the Holocaust. He was reading it the other night before bed and as my husband stopped by his doorway to say good night he asked Garrett what he was reading. Garrett told him what it was and my husband, not knowing what the book was about asked if it was scary and if there were any monsters hiding in the cave. Garrett told him that indeed there were "not any monsters, just some 'Naisies' trying to find some Jewish children". I guess it is time we covered WWII in history class eh? |
