I haven't read the articles, but when I was in nursing school I knew a girl who nearly died from toxic shock syndrome. Nothing to play around with for sure!

I agree, we need to be very careful about what materials we put in our "private" places! I use an organic cotton tampon, and made the switch several years ago after reading things like you noted. Good reminders.
