It has been a busy 2 weeks. We were sick again last week. This complicated my plans to attend a women's retreat sponsored by Faith Fellowship Church here in Macedonia, Ohio. By God's grace, everyone was improved by the second day of the conference and I was able to attend.

The retreat was such a blessing! Oh, how I needed some time to just stop and rest in the Lord! I was blessed by financial assistance to attend the retreat and I can not even say how grateful I am to all who gave so that I might attend.

My room mate was a fellow hs mom who so encouraged me in the Lord. It was nice to be able to share my struggles with one who really understood and continually pointed me back in the direction of our Lord Jesus Christ as the balm for my soul and the answer to all of my concerns.

Aside from that, the hotel was very lovely, the food was wonderful and I might many other wonderful ladies.

I returned home refreshed and with some new insights and new resolve. However, when I returned home Alyssa also had a fever (again!) and the fish was behaving strangely. I comforted Alyssa (she is so miserable when she has a fever) and changed the fish's water. Chase seemed to have done fine in my night away and Sam did a great job taking care of everything. My wonderful MIL also came over and helped out during the day and the kids enjoyed her playing with them and reading them stories.

This week, I am sick again. I believe I have sinusitis and I have started to treat it. I am feeling somewhat better but still not my usual self.

Through the week, I hope to write more about what I learned on my very first ladies retreat.
