Wednesday, November 22, 2006 - Thanksgiving
"Give thanks to the Lord in all circumstances. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever."
Something to think about:
How many times do we truly stop and thank God for who He is and what He's done for us? How many times are we truly grateful for the blessings He has bestowed upon us? And how many times do we take it for granted?
I would strongly encourage you this Thanksgiving to have a quiet time where it's just you and God. Thank Him. Praise Him. Worship Him. Be thankful this year.
Go sit in a dark room and close your eyes. Think about how it must feel to be seperated from God. Pray for those people and thank God for what He's done.
Be thankful that you have a family, that you have food, that you have a car to go visit loved ones. Be thankful that you had a turkey to burn! lol.
This Thanksgiving, don't forget to be thankful.

Thank you Rebecca for what you said on my problems with my mom. Though my mom and I are stillkind of hating eachother I still feel more at peace because it has actually helped in my relationship with God. It was like a youth leader at this church said once, "We are rocks, and all are hardships in life are just forming us to be better rocks. So it all depends on how you act on the things that happen in your life, and how you act could bring you either closer or farther from god." So to me it seams like I'm getting farther away from my family, it really seams like all of them hate me, but somehow I'm still at peace about it cuz I know that no matter how many people hate me here on earth, he will always love me.

Why do guys always go for the obvious? What about us girls who are pretty and subtle. You know, the ones who aren't flirts with everything that looks like a guy. I've heard that guys are intimidated by girls who they think are truly beautiful, ones who are beautiful inside and out, so they just go for the girls they think will take them. When really, us beautiful girls don't see anything wrong with them and we'd be happy to be friends with them and maybe even "go out" with them (for lack of a better word). I'm 17 years old and I can't even get a 7 year old to hug me (and he hugs everybody else!). lol I recently went out with the first guy that's been brave enough to ask me out.......but I haven't heard from him since......except to hear him say he couldn't come to church with me because of his manager at his job (what's up with that anyway.....I mean THREE days and no word? any ideas on that?) Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm not desperate. I just want to know why guys think they aren't good enough to even be my friend. I'm by no means snobby or mean (ok that sounded like bragging but I'm not lol) or ugly. I'm beautiful inside and out (or at least that's what everybody that is not under the age of 25 and in the male species says) Sorry I needed a place to vent and maybe get a little advice and encouragement.
Signed,
God's Princess
