But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Have you ever thought about that? Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Not because we deserved it. Not because we were worthy. Not because we were good. But because He loves us.
Have you ever thought about just how much God loves you? Have you ever thought about how awesome and unbelievable it is that He does? So many times we put God in human form. We try to define Him with our minds. Our minds have limitations. How can we define an unlimited, all-powerful God? We can't. And we'll never fully understand it. But God loves us and THAT is the amazing thing.
Consider this: DNA is necessary for life. (No, this is not a biology lesson, stick with me.) If we were to write out all of the information that can be stored in a sample of DNA the size of a pinhead, we would end up with a pile of books that is 500 times higher than the distance from the earth to the moon! But we have limitations. If we can store that much information inside us, yet we still have limitations, BUT our God created that DNA and He has no limitations...How dare we try to define Him!
He is awesome. And He loves us. You are His creation. And even when you were worthless and a sinner, He loved you enough to die for you. And that is simply amazing.
It's worth thinking about.

Great post Danya! I love the fact that God is a mystery, so we can never know or understand Him fully. But, a mystery is something that is infininately knowable -- meaning that we can always learn more and more about God, even into eternity in heaven.

yes, we can always learn more, but we will never be able to fully understand until God reveals it to us in eternity. here on earth, we will never fully understand.
