Ahhh....
Tonight at MNO, I had such a blast...but then again, I always do. I hate to miss a MNO...though I did miss last month due to Honey's schedule and my Uncle Wayne's death. I can't believe it's been over a month since he passed onto Glory. How time does fly.
The subject of our thoughts of moving came up...and it was quite the ego boost to have my friends "fighting" over where we'd move to. Who would we live close to? That sure warmed my heart to know how loved we are!!! Thanks, ladies!!! You made my night!!!
We're gearing up for a new school year. We're planning to start this coming Monday. It's earlier than we normally begin..but then, I want to be finished earlier than we normally do. The cost of gas has definitely curtailed our trips away from home...but that's a good thing in relation to school. This year, I'll be teaching a 10th grader, 8th grader, 4th grader and 1st grader! WOW!!! All four will be officially in school this year. When did that happen?
I'm excited about Thomas and Natalie's history program!! We're using a program I bought the first year we lived here...Notgrass Exploring Tennessee. It will be so nice to study our homestate's history. I was reading it over the other night and am so impressed with it! Mary and Rebecca will participate some..but Rebecca has her own history (actually, two history programs)..and Mary will be doing quite alot of school work herself. One of our family's favorite subjects is history...and we love hands on stuff...so this is right up our alley.
In farm news, we've been trying to find hay at a reasonable price. It's going to cost almost $1400 for hay this year.
That's just crazy. We'd like to sell some cows...but then, we don't have handling and sorting equipment, so how do you select out the cows you want to sell? So many things could make this farm so much easier to handle. One thought of ours in our thoughts of moving is downsizing. I believe we'll always have at least beef cows and chickens. I don't foresee us ever having another milk cow...though I do dearly miss the milk...Goats are fun..but not sure we'll do that again. It's been quite a learning experience for our family these past 4 years of farm living.
Tomorrow, or today, rather, since it's after midnight....we take a ride to a friend's home. Another time to spend together. It's so nice to have friends to fellowship with...to just enjoy each other's company.
Guess I should hit the hay as they say....that alarm is going to ring in a little over two hours...ouch!

You know what I think is sooo great about you?? The fact that you are thoughtful enough to pretend like you EVEN entertain the idea of moving anywhere except Ardmore....just so you don't hurt the feelings of those OTHER ladies. IF only everyone were like you :)
Daniel loved the cake, of course :) As do I, and we thank you oh so very much for every little bit of fabulousness that you are!
Kiss, Kiss
