Isn't he cute? That's my Dad this past Easter.
Today is a very special day! It's my Dad's 70th birthday!!!
Now, he wouldn't admit to being 70 today, he says he's only 39. I guess in a way, he's right. He acts about 39.
That's a compliment, Dad!!
What can I say about my Dad? He's ALWAYS been there for me. He's ALWAYS been there for my family. He's there whether we need advice, help, money for hay (
), or just to talk.
I realize how very blessed I am to have such a Dad. I don't think I always knew this...or rather, didn't know to the extent that I am blessed. Life has a way of showing you just how bad some Dads are, and then you realize just how good your own truly is. No, my Dad is not perfect. Of course he's not. He's human. But, his heart is set on being the best he can be.
He's a very loved Pappy too. His grandchildren think the world of him!!!!
My Dad is a worker. When he takes on a job, he does it to the fullest. He doesn't quit until it's done. He's an example of stick-to-it-ness for all of us. Here's an example of that-
My folks are full time rv'ers. They have been for the last five years. This year, they are working at a campground in NY. Yep, working. This retired man is now mowing the lawns, doing handy man work, cleaning the pool, etc. And he's most likely the most dependable worker they've ever had, or will ever be blessed to have.
I do wish we could have been together to celebrate this special day with my Dad. But, thanks to my Dad (and brother), we were just together in NY not long ago. I'm with him in spirit and in my heart!
I love you, Dad. Have a most happy birthday!!! And many, many more!!!!
