Camping

Posted in Family Fun Time
When we got to Death Valley that  night of March 20, 2008 (or should I say morning of March 21, 2008?, it was 12:30 AM!).  Our first thought was a campground.   We had a close one in mind:  Stovepipe wells campground. It was closest to us.  We drove in to the campground and looked for a spot for tents. No such luck.  the spots we wanted  were all filled.  So we took a RV spot  in front of the spots we wanted hoping that in the morning someone in one of the tent spots we wanted would leave. This time we guessed right, lots of people left that morning and we found a wonderful spot that was right in front of a big place to play for Forest and me.   When we had got the ticket for a campsite the night before we had gotten it after midnight so the silly machine acted like we had bought the ticket in the next afternoon!!!

Here is a camping quiz.

Category A  questions are easier than the harder Category B questions

Category A                                                                     Category B
True or False:  There are lots of campgrounds        True or False:   A teardrop is a style of van that you can
all over North America.                                                   pop the top up on.

Are both RVs and tents aloud in all                           Are campfires permitted in all campgrounds?
campgrounds that you don't hike in to ?

Hunter the cat

Posted in Family Fun Time
My kitty  is spoiled.  Not the bad kind, the good snuggly comfortable kind.  He likes attention and the whole family gives it too him.  I guess you would say " he is just part of the family".   I just finished giving him  a Special Kitty Salmon dinner.  Since he usually eats dry food he likes the wet better!!
When I opened the can  he lunged for it and he wouldn't let me finish opening the can so I dumped some broth in his bowl.  He started eating and I opened the can the rest of the way in peace.

There is my Cuddly Hunter kitty!, wolfing his dinner down!

                 What a Purrr-fect breakfast for a kitty!
