Sunday, November 16, 2008 - My beloved

My friend Emily at The Learning Never Stops had this up, and I thought it looked fun, so here's everything you could possibly want to know about my beloved hubby...

1. He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
If he could, he'd be watching basketball, but since we don't have TV, he'd be staring at a blank screen.  *you have to have cable here to have tv.

2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
Caesar.  Loves it.

3. What's one food he doesn't like?
Tuna fish.  He says he's allergic.  You gotta get this, he's eaten ants, grubs, wild boar, monkey, snake, turtle, he's even drank chewed-corn-spit-back-into-pot-and-left-to-ferment-drink.  But he will flat out refuse tuna.  He's weird.  I say it's all in the mind.

4. You go out to the bar. What does he order?
wow.  we've never ever been out to a bar.  heheh.  But he'd order a Dr. Pepper if we were in the States.  I'd order rootbeer... oh, I MISS rootbeer! ...oh, oops... this is not about me.

5. Where did he go to high school?
Same one as I did!  We were high school sweethearts - Portland Christian High School.

6. What size shoe does he wear?
11

7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?
Bibles (it is unbelievable how many this man owns). bows and arrows, hunting stuff, evangelistic tracts - funny combination of interests!

8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
cheese. plain cheese on white bread. no mayo, nothing. dry. sticky. my absolute least favorite. of course.

9. What would he eat every day if he could?
a full three course home cooked meal, every meal.

10. What is his favorite cereal? cereal?
he likes hashbrowns, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage... c'mon!

11. What would he never wear?
Pink. ever. never. ever. - Emily, our husbands would probably be best friends. :)

12. What is his favorite sports team?
Trailblazers... this year anyway .

13. Who will he vote for?
He didn't, the bum.  He hadn't worked out his absentee ballot in time. (neither did I, by no fault of my own I might add... I was really bummed.  he wasn't.)

14. Who is his best friend?
I hope he'd think of me, but he might say his dad.  I'm not sure.

15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do?
I make this weird popping noise sometimes when I'm trying to scratch my inner eardrum.  He HATES it.  I'm sorry.  It is weird.  I shouldn't have mentioned it.

16. How many states has he lived in?
3. Born in Oregon, lived in Washington, moved to Iowa.  But currently lives in Peru, with me :)

17. What is his heritage?
Belgian.  His mom is 100%, her parents immigrated to the US and had a farm in Minnesota.  cool.

18. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what would it be?
berry pie. he doesn't like cake.

19. Did he play sports in high school?
Basketball. basketball. basketball.  He slept with his ball, folks.

20. What could he spend hours doing?
preaching, boating in the amazon regions of Peru, hunting, basketball.  writing a 5 sentence e-mail. hahahahah, I'm serious  :)

21. What's something cool about him?
He loves to preach the gospel.  He is so brave.  He knows his Bible really well.  He married ME.

Your turn.

I was reading along and then WHAMM-O. He doesn't like cake? uh. What kinda person doesn't like cake? I wanted to name my firstborn Cake Jr.

But seriously, the fact that he'd say his Dad was his best friend? That's pretty amazing.
