Amazed!!!

Sick days 8/1/07
Poor K. came home yesterday from gym complaining of a sore throat. Later that night she couldn't sleep because it was a lot worse. This morning she had a temp of 102. Poor thing. She did listen to all the readings but other than that, she laid on the couch and rested.
One great thing about homeschooling is the sick days. I remember when I was in school, I hated being sick and missing a day. It seems so "cool" to miss a day but I hated having to catch up and doing double the work the next day. With homeschooling, my kids just do what they can and we don't have to "catch up" because we make the schedule! And with SL, at least half of our work is just listening and looking at books anyway. Even moderately sick people can do that.
Tomorrow looks like a better day. K. probably has strep throat and has started meds. I do like being a retired doc and also married to a doc sometimes. It makes sick days go better most of the time.
God bless,
