Mammogram, Part Two

I got a call this morning from the radiologist.  Seems I have an area of density in my left breast she wants to check out further.  I am scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound tomorrow afternoon.  Needless to say, I'm worried sick.  Luckily, the radiologist will read my report as soon as I'm finished, so I won't have to wait to find out what they think it is.  I'll let you all know how it goes.

Praying that all will go well tomorrow! Waiting for assurance can be painful, but I have learned that it keeps us dependent on God rather than physicians.

May. 17, 2006 - My mammogram nightmare

Posted by ktneis
A few years ago a nurse practioner told me I have a lump that feels cancerous and on Monday AM you will need a mammogram and ultrasound. This was a Saturday morning Dr. Visit so the weekend was horrible, we were planning our life as if it was cancer and panicking. Monday Am came and we did the tests and it was a Fibroid and not a thing to worry about. All that stress for nothing. It did bring up a few reality things for my hubby and I but I will never forget the painful thoughts racing through my head that weekend. I am confident you will be fine and God will take care of you. I will pray for your calmness and a clear mammogram for you. You will be alright, God will be there with you. Blessed be God, Kelly

May. 17, 2006 - Kids are so smart

I know what you are thinking, it is hard to go through all this but you do not want to alarm the kids. I have found that if I do not tell them what is wrong with me, they think they did something wrong and I am upset with them. Kids just think so different and would never guess that we have a medical problem. I explain in simple ways what is happening and why and pray with them for good results. Sometimes I feel better by just getting it off my mind and out in the open for the family to deal with it together. Kids are so connected to us and their world evolves around us, they know when something is wrong even when we try hard to hide it. They can handle things better than I can sometimes. I hope this helps to put you to ease.

May. 17, 2006 - Praying....

Praying that all is well, and no reason for concern. I am sure a million different directions are spinning in your head now! But, Praise the Lord. Yes, even in times like this! Don't allow satan the victory by gaining fear and doubts. Praise the Lord...simply because He is worthy!
