Aug. 25, 2008 - I'm so excited!!!
In our area we have a local alternative school specifically for homeschoolers. It is supported by the school district and basically it gives us homeschoolers the opportunity to sign our kids up for really fun classes and excellerated learning classes. And for the most part it's free!!!! The whole family participates in the classes so there is no opportunity for peer pressure or a bad influence.
So I am registering Sage, our oldest, for a fun science class called Lego Physics where he gets to build simple machines and robots using the Educational lego sets.
Micah is registering for Primary Adventures (a Science class for K-3), Ice Skating, and Intro to Piano. Kaylee can't register because she is too young (you have to be 5) but she gets to participate in everything like she is one of the students.
So I'm just really excited about the opportunities that this offers my kids! And these are things I can't teach...so I get to learn too:)

Oh, man, wish they had that here. Shoot, we are in a charter school and we don't get "lego physics." All my kids would kill for a class like that.
But I didn't stop by to say that. I was wondering where you found your little "coffee" pic on the side. I must have one and with my birthday coming up and all...
