The Elliott Family

Update...

Posted in Family News
Hi, everyone,
For those of you who couldn't see Arik's robot, try now.  The settings were set so only I could view it.  :-)  It should work now.

Our kitty died late Wednesday night.  She was just too dehydrated.

Our close friends (and our church's associate pastor), the Thompson family, moved away yesterday.  Conrad is taking a senior pastorate in Andrews, Indiana.  We will miss ALL of them.  Kaitlyn was best friends with Olivia, Caleb was a year younger than Arik, and their little Claire was the same age as Kandice.  Stef was one of the closest friends I've had in a long time.  The youth group had a farewell party last night, and at the end, they drove out and headed on their way.  They were hoping to make it to at least Peoria, IL, last night.  Ug!  Their kids spent a lot of time at our house this weekend, so it would be easier to pack the truck.  So yesterday was full of tears.  We will sure miss them!  It leaves such a hole to have friends go.

Well, this is our last week of school.  Kraig finishes on Wednesday.  Yippee... summer!

Hugs to all,
~Anne

Bonjour, Elliotts--I found your latest posting in my junk mail box, but that has been quickly corrected!

Certainly you will miss your friends, but now you know someone in Indiana.

How is the new kitten (who has been named what?) getting along?

Ooops. Make that somone in Illinois.

Arik, your Lego contest entry is terrific! What a good idea to design something which helps people in an emergency...rather than designing some monster.

Jun. 2, 2008 - Well, about that kitty...

She didn't make it past that night. We took her to the vet Wednesday afternoon, and the vet was kind enough to donate some fluids, food, and medicine to our kitty. We nursed her that evening, but she got weaker and weaker. I went to bed at 11:00, and I checked on her after midnight and she was still. I checked again at 3 a.m., and she was *stiff*. It was hard to tell the kids next morning!
Hugs,
~Anne

Anne,

I just wanted to let you know that I miss the Thompson's too, not to mention the Elliott family! Thanks for your posts!
