Jeremiah 29:11

Today, it snowed!

Finally, after 70 degree weather last week (which we enjoyed very much while  having friends visit), it got cold over the past 36 hours and snowed.

BIG BEAUTIFUL FLAKES!!!!

Fluffy and pure white ... and as long as you didn't look at the ground, one could imagine being snowed in for days! AJ and I huddled under his blanket, opened the giant window in his room and listend to the silence. I love the sound of rain beating against the window ... or better yet, a tin roof. But there is no silence that is so utterly peaceful as the silence created in the midst of a hard snow. I'm sure there is some scientific reason for this, but I'll continue to believe that snow is one of God's best creations and everything that is has to stop and honor it while it is falling (at least until there's enough for a snowman ... which did not happen today).

You had big fluffy flakes, and we had about a minute's worth of snow--if you looked really hard!! But I was grateful for even that.

I can't believe it!!!!

I really thought for about 15 minutes that it might actually really get going! And then it started to dwindle down to nearly nothing. I really needed the moment so I'll count it a blessing! Glad you made it back! And for the tip on Google Reader ... i think I might like it better than my friends button eventually.

You are so lucky. We have had freezing rain and sleet all winter. I am in Central Minnesota, so we usually have snow. Unlike you, I have not given it proper honor. I whine. I would give anything to see big fluffy snow that can be swept from the streets. Driving on ice covered roads is no fun!

I remember snow...

In the olden days of Ohio, I remember coming home from a date one morning [ahem] and my feller and I letting the dog out and as he raced around in snowcrazed joy, we... made snow angels. It was wonderful under the starry skin with the moonshine giving the huge field of snow an other wordly glow ~sigh~
Do I have a friends button? Where is it? Well, there is the word friends in the line up across the top of my rap sheet -- is that a friends button? If it is, why don't you have one. I didn't know that was a button ; I thought it was a word. ~sigh~ It's day thirteen and I'm still doing clutsy, dumb things. I thought this was suppose to be a year of jubilee... ~sigh~
Love and Thoughts,
Miss Meg
