Eilean Donan, Scotland

I've been wanting to paint a picture of Scottland for a while! Jason asked my Dad on a Literature trip there if he could get to know me. So it is a place of beautiful memories for us. Kaitlyn Marsicz took this photo and I borrowed it from a friend to paint it. Finally finished using a new medium for the first time: water soluble oil paints.

The caterpillars are now Crysalids

We ordered a butterfly kit and got tiny caterpillars in the mail, in a few days they had really grown. When they hung upside down on the lid and we carefully pinned the paper lid onto our mesh cage. We are waiting for them to emerge into butterflies now! It's fun to have the boys watch this. When I was little my mom and I would actually find crysalids in our woods or along the road and take them carefully home and watch them emerge. It's fun to watch God's creation work.
