My sister wants to be a Russian Stacking Doll when she grows up. No Lie.

Like I said, my sister is obsessed with Russian culture- it's really awesome, but a little creepy as this picture dictates. My grandmother has all manner of these dolls- like santa clauses and such, but I don't have any. Actually, one of our friends bought my Russia-obsessed sister a little matryoshka doll- but it doesn't stack. Its to hold a picture, which is actually very cute. Maybe it is a good thing I don't own any... I think I might loose all the little people on the inside. I loose things a lot.

At a party last Friday I consumed three bags of Sour Patch Kids. Seriously. Along with ice cream cake and chocolate chewy granola bars but that is beside the point.

I love popcorn to death, but at the movies I'm more inclined to get Sour Patch Kids. Sadly they're always really expensive and I'm sort of technically not supposed to eat them because of my braces, but they're one of my favorite candies. Anything sour really is amazing. If it makes my mouth water and my face scrunch up due to the innate sourness of it all then its my kind of candy. When I was little I used to wash the sour sugar off the candies, because well, I was young and had not yet learned the powers over sour candy. Now I know better.
I'd take these over chocolate any day.

So, I guess its not an overstatement to say I have Fallen In Love With This cd.

I like a lot of Coldplay's old stuff like Yellow, Clocks, Fix You or The Scientist. But Viva la Vida is just leaps and bounds cooler then their previous cds! It sounds like a movie soundtrack; some one has to make a film to go along with these songs, for real. My favorite tracks are Viva la Vida, Strawberry Swing and Cemeteries of London. My least favorite is Lovers in Japan. But it really is a great cd, and has been all I've been listening to for the past few days.
Check it out, it isn't all hype, its really amazing music.

I've been too disgustingly busy with school and True Girl to post lately, and I just wanna say sorry- and in about a week I should be updating normally again.
Until then-
If you like Harry Potter check the Harry Ginny Network, because there is a new promo picture of Harry and Ginny hugging epicly. Thought you should know that.
Also- hopefully the next Big Summer Song will be Viva la Vida by Coldplay. So check it out and maybe request it on the radio... (Because I'm already tired of Bleeding Love, although I liked it the first few times....)
Yours Truly, MACNCHEESE.

Nacho chips. My passion. As you can tell, I can't stay away from food for very long.... and obviously neither can squirrels.

This picture reminds me of Hammy from Over the Hedge, which was an adorable and hilarious movie and you should watch it. But back to the nacho chip, and more specifically, the Dorito. Best chips ever. When I'm alone I suck the cheesy parts off, but don't worry. I wouldn't in public. I can polish off one of the big bags in ten minutes. It's sorta frightening. Some people really go for the sweet stuff, but I love salty. Like chips and french fries and nuts and all that stuff which makes my mouth water just to think of. No one else in my family really likes chips that much, and no one really likes Doritos, so when I get them at a party or something I sort of hog them. The Cool Ranch Doritos are also heaven....
Oh my. Now I want chips.
A lot.
A lot a lot.
HELP!!!!

My hair can do the chopstick thing! Finally I can do it!!

My hair is just a little bit short, but it totally works. Also, cause my hair is sooo thin it only works if I put it up wet. I wish I had more hair.... I have awesome frosty blue chopsticks with really nice swirls on the top. They are very cool. I really want to cut my hair again, because it's almost past my shoulders now, but I think I want to wear chopsticks a few more times before I do.
This picture btw, is not of me.

We're all horribly used to the term "flip-flop" but when you think about it, it's rather absurd.

Yeah, sure. They go flip, and then they go flop. And they fall off at every possible occasion. But the name is still funny. Sneaker is also a pretty wacky name. Um, they're not especially sneaky, are they? I usually have two pairs of flip-flops. A nice pair I walk around in, and then the junky pair that take to the beach and too the pool and where ever I might get dirty.... Those usually fall apart by the end of the summer. I have a friend who hardly ever wears any other shoes. Ever. Even in the winter. I guess she has like ten pairs... I love flip-flops because your feet can breath in them. Then again, I hate socks and shoes and long sleeve shirts and turtlenecks and anything that makes my body feel constricted. The only problem with flip-flops and sandals and stuff like that is your toes always have to look good. And my toes don't often look good. (pedicures= way too much money)
So, it's summer people!! It's June! Start wearing flip-flops again.

Behold the all-mighty danish.

I'm not one to get cravings. Every now and then I want a big bacon cheeseburger or gummy worms or something like that, but as a general rule, I don't usually get random cravings. But every two months or so, I get cheese danish cravings. And when I have one of those, I literally need to Leave the House and go to a Bakery and Buy myself a Cheese Danish. Because it's like I have not other choice. It's like, eat a danish RIGHT NOW or perish. So I choose the eat-a-danish-right-now option. And whenever I go to Disney World I need to eat like a million cheese danishes because they are so good, and Disney has really good ones especially in the Main Street Bakery and the French pastry shop and in Sunshine Season. I'm not sure how or when the Cheese Danish of Power started having power over me, it's like one day three years ago I just woke up and wanted one. Nay, needed one. So I ate one. I can't resist it.... it's strange, but true. And the weirdest part is that normally, cheese danishes are good, but no where near my favorite dessert. It's only sometimes. So there you are. The Cheese Danish of Power.

Unconventional this may be, but I just had to post about it. Penny and Des.

If you watch LOST then you know that Desmond and Penelope are the best couple ever created. (Better then Sayid and Nadia. Better then Kate and Sawyer.) Better then Romeo and Juliet, then Han and Leia, better then Lizzie and Darcy. Just the best. And last night they were reunited after almost FIVE years. So. Thats all. Just wanted everyone out there to know.
And if you don't watch LOST, carpe diem. There's no time like the present. Start now.

Old motels with blinking lights and beautiful, retro, slightly tacky signs- heaven.

One day I want to have spent the night in every motel in the USA. Of course, since this is near impossible unless I start tomorrow and don't sleep in my own bed again till I'm 65, I'll settle for second best. Maybe only half the motels in the USA. Or at least all the ones on Route 66. I've only stayed at two or three motels in my life so far, but when I was about 9 I went through this obsession with the mid-west and all the retroish, 1950ish, sun-washed and yellowish stuff that goes along with it. I don't think I ever quite got over that craze. Then, just last week, we drove through this strip of NJ that was like nothing I'd seen before in my little corner of the Northeast. It was a long highway and there were all sorts of motels with awesome old sci-fi, baby blue signs. And roadside stands where they sell ice cream cones and Pepsi. It was so magical and so strange. Like nothing I'd ever really seen before. I'd only ever read about. My sister and I decided it very important that the two of us go on a road trip across America. From where we live in NYC to San Francisco. And sleep at all the motels, and eat at all the roadside dinners and drive through all the old, beautiful, sun-bleached towns we can possibly find. I just hope they're not all gone before we get around to it. Or maybe I'll go with my husband... if I ever get one. All I know is that I have to experience that part of the USA before I die. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll get to go on a lot of business trips.
And just a word to anyone who lives anywhere like I just described. Don't take it for granted. Lots of people like me are dying to see it. We can trade. You can have a good look at the Empire State Building and I'll spend the night in an adorably dingy motel, just like I've always wanted.

It's like the comfort food for clothes.

So, I have a giant fluffy one which is pink, but I also think I need a soft cozy cotton one, something that is very wrappable and huggable. The only downside to bathrobes is of course that their ties are some of the easiest things to loose in this world next to television clickers. Yes? The second you need it it seems to have disappeared into the oblivion of LOST THINGS. Chances are your little siblings stole it for their dress-up clothes. But all that aside. People need bathrobes the way they need coffee in cups shaped for their hands, or the way they need round pillows with buttons. Its one of those comfortable things that comfort you and warm you....
I never use my robe when I shower... I mean, what use is that? You use your bathrobe most in those two or three hours before bed when you're reading a book or watching a movie by yourself in comfort. Or maybe you use it just whenever you're alone and need to feel at ease. People have bathrobes like for the same reason they have wrap-around dresses or yoga pants and camisoles. It's comfy and reassuring and makes you want to love the world. Just add a cup of tea, maybe a bubble bath? Nothing can go wrong.

Listening to Coldplay's song Yellow made me think, maybe I should do a color post! Everyone could use more color in their life. So, naturally we'll start of with yellow.
Everyone secretly loves yellow best, because it's such a happy and good-natured color. It radiates joy and peace, and love. It's a primary color, so it can always exist apart from the rest of the rainbow. It's the color of the sun, of no. 2 pencils, cheese danishes, daisies and of course, mancheese! (Unless you have that weird white cheddar- but ew. No. Kraft and blindingly yellow all the way.)
I sadly have no idea how the color prisms work, so I can't bore you will a long science lecture on how the color yellow actually comes into being. I can say though, its pretty. It's bright and there are a millions shades on a million things in a million different places all over the world and universe. Yellow exists. It just does.

Yeah I know, two food posts in a row! I've never eaten this, it is an Australian dessert or snack that they often serve at children's parties. What is it you ask? White bread with butter and sprinkles. O. M. G.

Sugar overload much???
Do they even dare to call this food down under?? I mean, woah. Can you even imagine the stomach ache you'd get after downing a couple of these? But of course it's probably amazingly good and I'm just gonna have to try it one day.
I love the Australians. I mean, anyone who decides to create this snack, and serve it to a countries population has to be insane. In a good way. I wish we had something so awesome as Fairy Bread. All our desserts are too normal. Like donuts and brownies and ice cream. Stuff with flavor and a little redeeming value. (well, maybe twinkies give Fairy Bread a run for the money) This on the other hand is pure unaltered sugar and empty carbs all wrapped up in a colorful little snack.
Yum.

It's an egg pie! A really really yummy egg pie with cheese and sausage and maybe spinach.

Its one of my favorite foods, for an early lunch sort of thing, like 11am. With a light salad, or yogurt and granola, yeah? We don't have it very often, but its really good. Also really fatty and filled with white flour, but we like to forget that part. The cafe in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens has the best quiche I've ever had. The bacon and spinach one at Sweet Melissa's is also great.
And they are relatively easy to make, so make one. They are just AMAZINGLY good.

People really need to get themselves together and start wearing more hats! They are totally made of win, but sadly after the 1950's woman just stopped wearing them.

I mean gosh, who wouldn't want to wear something so huge, pink and impractical as that? But I love them. I have three hats. A black fedora, a tan 20ish one and an adorable grey felt one. But I don't wear them very often, because in truth, they are impractical. But somehow the adorable and classy part outweighs the impracticality. Because I still do wear them.
Personally I also think woman should all own top hats, they just look so awesome on girls! I would own one, but wear do you buy top hats these days? Other then at posh and incredibly expensive stores for Rich Old White Men who are lawyers and politicians. But there you are. The age of the hat has dies, and may not come back for a very long time. But they always eventually come back into style- it just may not be in my lifetime. Until then I'll still boldly love hats, wear hats and search very hard for a top hat.
