Today marks the first day after my lasik surgery. One of the most memorable moments was when I went into surgery on Fri. I met the asst. for the surgery. He says I had the same prescription as you. Filled me in on some stuff and continued to talk to me. I could not see him because I was no longer wearing my glasses. They did my right eye first. When they were “finishing” I started to see clearer and clearer and there he was! Amazing to see a face that you could not see previously. So today I had my one day follow up…. I now have 20/25 and it is expected to improve. What a miracle!!! God is good! After 28 almost 29 years of wearing glasses…they are no more!!!!!
Well a landmark has a occured. My almost reading Kindergardner has graduated. My spelling to my dh days are almost over. *sigh* It was great though and I am glad she is excited.

One of my best friend's son Bailey with Allison.

My little boy has been such a stinker lately. *Sigh* He has been throwing things at people and just around in general. So obviously in trouble for these things. Well today he got mad at sissie and threw her brand new *Pet Shop Rabbit* from Grandma & Papa under her bed. So she goes in after it. Her earring snags
And SHE DOES NOT STAY STILL! Yes she ripped out her week old earring. Thankfully 20 minutes later I got it back in BACKWARDS!!! I told her in a couple of weeks we would change it back but for now it was staying!!! She has been so careful and I felt so bad for her. She is fine now but I am thankful it wasn't worse.
I was born in Sioux City IA. Same hospital as my mom.. I lived in the midwest till I was 9. I moved to California. During my tenure there I have lived in Bakersfeld, LA, San Diego. All that to say you can take the girl out of the country but not the country out of the girl!!!! Go Hawekeyes!!!!
My dad is a Bolivian by birth. I say that because he speaks English FLUENTLY, has a Masters degreee, wont' speak Spanish JUST BECAUSE, AND came to this countrry LEGALLY!!!!!!!!!! AND I will add this….NO I don't speak Spanish. Oh I can understand the basics but NOPE no Spanish here! In fact a dear Spanish teacher (who was a minister in CV) said to me “Lanza stick with your mother tongue and I don't mean Spanish!” LOL no this was not a bad thing but a relief to me! I might add I read Spanish quite well and I can “think” spanish but it just does not come OUT right LOL!
My thoughts…..don't know english – learn. DON'T – well you are LAZY!
Do you go to France, Iraq, Spain, Netherlands etc and expect them to have english documents for you??? UM NO!!!!! THEY DON'T!!!!!!!!
Welcome to America….learn english, learn the road rules and learn the democratic process…..get legal and WELCOME!
