| I know it has been a long time since I have written an entry because I have been focused on ballet for the last month. We finished my 3rd and last preformance of Sleeping Beauty. It was awesome. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette wrote a really positive review on the ballet. My friend was quoted the cutest little red riding hood ever. I was a nymph and a Lilac fairy attendent. Every one said my attendent costume was cute but I did not have the same opinion. But I had a great time. Have any of you ever seen a fairy tale ballet or have been in one? |

Apr. 15, 2008 back from RDA
Yesterday I just got back from my RDA trip!!!! I missed all of you. All of the classes were in the same hotel where I was staying. All the classrooms were sections from a ginormous ballroom. Instead of recorded piano music RDA hired different piano players from the southwest. They were awesome. Our feet were sore after the 3 days we were dancing. Every night there was a proformance proformed by the differnet companies that took classes there. Some were weird some were AWESOME!!!!!!! On the last night there was a gala. we watched the gala proformance and had a gala dinner. There was a raffle for a BEAUTIFUL tutu. It had real pearls and it was white as snow. Our company did not win it.:( theree were awards given outand scholarships. My friend won a scholarship to go to a summer intensive in Fort Worth, Texas. And guess who is teaching there? Our artistic director who left our comeany, Mark Bush!!!! Hannah(my friend) is dreading having classes with Mr.Bush. He is sorta abusive with his words. I had an awesome time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Last night I could not fall asleep.' When drowsiness was overtaking me I heard an owl, right outside my window!!! I jumped up out of bed and ran to tell Dad about the owl. But Dad was outside. When he came inside he had a face that was pink with cold but he said excitedly that an owl was responding to this hoots. So he picked me up and brought me out side. He hooted and an owl hotted back right above us in the big oak tree. We could see his siloutte against the purple/pink sky. Dad and the owl hooted a couple of times than the owl flew to another tree down the hill. Dad still hooted and the owl still hooted back. It looked like the owl was trying to locate Dad because we saw the owl's head turn round and round. Then the owl flew to a hackberry tree and hooted again before he flew off. 16 times was the number Dad and the owl comunicated. And the wholetime our cat Alabama Thursday was watching. One time when we were on vacation Dad hooted for fun close to one of the cabins in Petie Jean Park(where we were staying). Someone on the porch of the cabin said" Listen I heard an owl". Imagine how surprised they would be when they find out it was my Dad.

At our church we have a time wher the kids come up on the stage and sing simple songs like 'knowing Christ' and 'countdown'. Stuff like that. My mom asked the kids worship leader if she had any music sheets for the songs.(the music sheets are for me). Mrs. Kellie(the kids worship leader) said she did and gave us a notebook full of different sizes of sheets and songs. when I got home I played the happy and singsongy songs on the piano. Some of them are very tricky to play woth all the chords in the right hand and the sharps and flats. But I enjoyed playing the songs.
See Ya later!!!! |

Feb. 27, 2008 The horse of the month
THe Horse of the month is the breed Halfinger.
High in the southeastern Alps of northern Italy, just south of the Australias border, lays the municipalty of Hafling- a favorite of hikers and mountain climbers. For horse people these pictursque alpine pastures hold something far more greater than natrual beauty. THey were the home of the charming Haflinger.
In 1919 Haflingers were mostly ridden by kids, they took the family to church and used as pack animals since they could handle the roughness of the steep and narrow moutain trails. In World War 1 and 2 the miliatary needed strong pack horses. That decreased the amount of Haflinger because of the poor breeding and so many were killed. Some breeders got together and started the come back of Haflinger after the war. The breed had changed from short and stocky to beautiful and graceful. THe Haflingers range in many chesnut hues and there mane and tail vary from flaxxen to cream. The Haflingers are the most desired horse in the U.S.A right now. And the are the breed of the month in the Horse Illustrated Magazine. |

Dec. 22, 2007 favorite animal poll
we went to china for 2 weeks in October. it seemed like yesterday. The first picture that you see is a picture that we took on the Great Wall. we walked a little bit on the Wall. we could not have walked the whole Wall because the wall is over 6,000 miles long!!!!!! it was hard for me to walk because i had sprained my ankle the day before. but the Wall was magnificant.
the second picure you see is me on a bactrian camel(dromodary camels are one humpers).we took a picture on him before we went on the Wall. the camel( i called him yin-yin) was so soft and warm. bactrians lived in the very cold countries. whoever rode them must have been warm. |
