Longing Projects

I had a great idea the other day when I had a longing to be married.....I thought why don't every time that I have a longing to be married I work on a project for something for my hopechest. I would get alot of projects completed that way. :)

The beach?

Hey friends just thought I would do a somewhat quick update before I head and do my chores. :) Yesterday was a good day. :) work was fairly easy...McKinley had a fever so she wanted to be held and slept off and on. :) And then Monya (my boss) came home and she asked me if I wanted to go along with them to the Gulf coast beach with them for 2 weeks..... July 16 till the 29. I think I am proving myself to them and they really like me now. I am waiting to get the okay from mom about going to the beach. I haven't talked with her since Monday. I hope we can talk soon. :)

busy, busy, busy

Happy 4th of July everyone! :)
Boy this past weekend was crazy busy...Saturday we painted my old room for Amy....we painted it a light green color. :) and then we set up her furniture in there too....I was really tired Saturday night! :) Then Monday Mom and Amy painted my new room Amy's old room.....while I was at work. :) it's a light blue color. I love the way I have it set up now. I have a 5 cd cd player in there now that was in the bonus room before. Dad has to hook it up tho. I am greatly missing a cd player now.....I spent alot of time setting up my room last night! That was pretty fun! :) Dad also needs to hang some stuff on my walls soon! I need to get my new bathroom cleaned today probably. It's nice sharing with Thomas. I need to box up all Amy's bathroom stuff and put it down in her bathroom. :)

I got asked out on a date the other day with Luke Wilson a guy that I graduated with. But I have no feelings for him.....I told him I would have to see what my parents think..... why is it that I always get asked out by the guys that I have no feelings for other than friendship? I wouldn't mind doing stuff with him as long as he knows that we are just friends....I would hate to hurt him....I think I have been asked out 2 times too many.....I have only been asked out 3 times in my whole life. And when he was talking to me the whole time I was thinking about Chris....Lately it doesn't bother me too much that we are not together. I think that we will be together....since I have been thinking about him for the past 7-8 mos.

I am getting paid for not working today! :)

better busy than bored

Lately I have been pretty much been working my 4 days a week 16 hours a week....Soon I am going to start looking for a second job so I can afford a car. :) Any good ideas on a second job?
i opened up a blogger acct. the other day and so far I can't figure out how to add friends there. If someone wants to tell me please do! ;) Nothing too much is going on here other than the usual work and family stuff. I am hoping we might go blueberry picking again tomorrow morning. I love blueberries ;) Anyone have any special plans for the 4th of July? We are going to a minor league baseball game on the 3rd and they have fireworks afterwards. I am hoping we might have company on the 4th.....We might get fireworks and do them at the property we own and possibly see the fireworks display they have at the highschool.

I think I'm in love....

I think I am in love with the car that is currently sitting in our driveway.....it's a 2004 blue Honda Civic (the same color as Chris's Accord). Man, I wish i could buy it! They loaned it to mom when she had to get work done on Dad's car. :) Mom let me drive it to pick up the suburban and back. Maybe I can talk to dad about buying the blue civic. :) I could put every paycheck in savings and that would be an easy way to save up for it....but I wouldn't have much spending money....I guess I should talk it over with dad. :)

Life

Hey friends,
this week has kept me pretty busy between working (Monday through Thursday 1-5) and between that and family life it seems I have been really busy. Dad left Tuesday for a business trip to Fairbanks, AK....so he will be gone till next Saturday I think. :) We are leaving this Thursday for Virginia for my cousin Theresa's wedding. That will be really fun! It will be fun to see family again! :) I'll be sure to post pictures here too! :) I have to work the same hours from now on! :) That will work out good for me. It's nice having Friday, Saturday and Sunday off! :)
I had one of those wonderful dreams this morning when I was still sleeping.....I dreamed that Chris and I were just married....and we were blissfully happy..... I didn't want to wake up this morning. I love the month of June and I hope that I will get married in June someday......lol

well, I guess that is enough of an update for now!

a plan

I was thinking the other day and I thought of something intelligent to do with my money....I am going to save a goodly ammount and buy a plane ticket to go visit one of my friends that I have never met before. The Question is who do I want to visit? I have lots of friends I want to meet.....I actually have a pretty good ammount of money for a start! I have like $120 now and I have a birthday coming up too! ;)

an apology

I am really sorry I have not been around here at all lately. I have no good excuse other than that I took a break from the computer for a while. Mom and Dad kinda wanted me too....It was kinda needed I think. :) I guess you could say that life has been busy lately. I was just thinking that lately life is good despite the things I have had to go through. :) I have it good compared to some ppl. The end of January Grandpa Ralph Land (mom's dad) died and went to be with Jesus.....it was an expected death so I wasn't too sad about it. His funeral was the first weekend in Feb. so we all went up to VA for that. It was great to see mom's family again! Valentine's day wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.....my friend Brian in MD called me and that kinda cheered me up. He has been calling alot lately. I am not sure what that is all about. I guess he might just like having someone to talk to. It's also nice to hear about the area I used to live in. He was my neighbor in MD. Yesterday Mrs. Anderson called and she said that couple that Mr. Anderson works with is looking for someone to babysit their 6 month old for 3 weeks (13 hours a day/6 days a week). We called the parents and they have yet to call us back. But I think it sounds fun and I would probably get paid well. And plus it's a baby what can be better than that? I am not sure when I might get a real job. I might try reappling a few places soon! I am also considering going to get my CNA (certified nurses Assistant). I am only in the considering it stage though. I think one of mom's friends looked into it for me and she said it would be a 2-6 week course! So we'll see. And I would pretty much be gauranteed a job cause I see ad's for CNA's in the paper! :) I am slowly letting go of the situation with Chris. I am slowly realizing that I may never be courted by him. It was all cause of a letter my dear friend Victoria wrote me. Thanks Victoria! :) okay! I guess that is all the news from here for a while! I am not sure when I might be able to update again! Interesting day...

today I had a phone-call from my old friend Brian in Maryland called me this evening....it was fun catching up on the news of LaPlata (the town we used to live in). He is interesting to talk to.....Don't worry girls I don't have any feelings for Brian other than that of friendship....and I don't think I could ever marry him. He had a rather strange request when we were ending our phone conversation....he asked if I could come visit maybe near Easter....and I of course said I would have to ask my parents.....I don't really want to visit him anyways.....I think it would just be too weird....I mean staying with his family and I don't know.....I am kinda thankful that mom said she wouldn't let me come visit him.....

2005

Where to begin......2005 has been a good year......in more ways than just one!

The highlights of 2005:

*being asked on my first date (even if I didn't get to go out on a date, at least I was asked)

*getting my licence

*growing closer to Christ

*Graduating Homeschool in May :)

But 2005 has also brought me personal struggles.....but for those I am also thankful those struggles......because of those God is making me a better person.

I am like so hopeful for the new year! I always get excited about a new year! :) I always get hopeful of what the year will bring and all......

2006 will be a "Landmark Year" for our family. I will turn 20 in May and Mom and Dad (in October) will have their 25th wedding Anniversary and Amy turns 13. :)

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas everyone! :) How was your day? Mine is going good. I got alot of things I wanted for Christmas. So that was good. I got some money from Dad's parents and sister. I also got some DVDs (those are great when you travel and I can watch them on my laptop), I got a flannel pajama set, stationary, portable cd player, Gooseberry Patch cookbook (I already had the one mom gave me so I am going to exchange it for one I do want. Some dishtowels for my hope chest. I think I might use my money I got from Christmas to buy what I didn't get for Christmas. We took a family picture today and I had Dad take a picture of just me so I'll have to post those later. :) Our friend Brian should be coming over soon! He called and said he wanted to come over. Mom said he sounded like he was bored. :) And my friend Tabitha said she'd try to call this evening it should be fun talking to her. I actually talked to her just yesterday.....

We are going to have a turkey dinner in a little while.....the turkey is cooking now! :)

A wonderful Saturday

Yesterday was my friend Jana's 20th birthday party at their new property. And just as I guess would happen, Chris was there. He didn't come till the evening though. I was so happy to see him since I hadn't seen him since June I think. We spent alot of time together, talking and getting to know each other. I feel so comfortable around him, like I have never felt around a guy. He was showing me all the different star formations since it was a clear starry night last night. He was going to set up his telescope but he left a piece at home or something. :( He is so gentlemanly too. He gave me his hand to hold onto when I was getting on the hayride. He said he never purposefully stopped e-mailing me. He said his server was down and he switched internet providers and he lost my e-mail in all that. So he apologized for not getting back to me. I knew that what mom and Dad were saying about him stopping e-mailing me was not because he was disinterested.

I was really shocked when Chris asked me to go with him on a hayride some friends of his are having. :) I said I would have to ask mom. He also wants to come and meet dad and spend time getting to know our family. So he is coming to dinner sometime this week. I am so very excited. :) This all seems like a dream!

Long Overdue Entry

Update!

Today was a pretty good day.....I got up around 10 am (I guess cause I was up so late around 12 or 12:30). Then we ate breakfast of pancakes and sausage (a breakfast we don't eat often enough). Then around 12 Angela and I had to babysit at the Anderson's house. They are from church and have 3 kids: Christian (6), Kelliann (2) and Connor (5 mos.) They were good. Except Connor kept spitting up. :( I was getting ready to put him in the baby swing indoors and he got spit up on my shirt. I have decided that when I babysit babies then I'll have to bring an extra shirt. Other than that things were good. Kelliann and Connor both took a nap at the same time so Ange, Christian and I watchedb "Cheaper By the Dozen" and I worked on my baby afghan for Carrie's mom. I am pretty close to finishing it and then I want to make an afghan for my friend Kristina due in January. Anyways after babysitting I came home to two letters! I ate dinner and did dishes you know the normal stuff. Then I called my friend Ashleigh cause they are in town for the fiddler's convention. I am sorry I wasn't able to meet you Ashleigh but hopefully when you come the next time! I look forward to then! :) I am really looking forward to tomorrow cause it's the church picnic. And my little friends Kinley (2 1/2) and Nehemiah (1) are going to be there! They are so adorable and fun! Maybe I'll post pictures of them someday. Their mom is expecting baby #3 I am thinking maybe in the spring. I am planning to ask her tomorrow what her due date is!

well, I better go I am planning on cross-posting this to my other journals!

Good Day

Today was a rather good day if I may say so! We made it in time for the early service (at 8:00 am), not that I ever doubted my abilities to get ready in time for that service. I had to get up at the un-Godly hour of 6 am :( Anna was hard to wake up. Thomas was much easier to get up than I thought he would be. Anna ended up falling asleep in church. I don't blame her. I was kinda spaced out in church. I really don't like going to the early service (at least now I can say I have been there once) there is not that many ppl that go to the early service at all.....none of my friends either. :(

After service Miss Carol (our church secretary and Mom's friend) invited us over for lunch along with another girl from youth group (I am glad she was tolerable today, she was actually nice). So we hung out there till about maybe 3.

Then came home and spent some time on-line and straightening up and Mom ended up calling cause Scott's cell phone finally got a signal. She said they are coming home tomorrow. :) We also had a call on our house today. The lady had an accent from what sounded like England. She said she live in Canebrake (a neighborhood just down Lindsay Lane) and she was asking the price of our house.....and I of course didn't give her the price cause I really wanted her to talk to Dad so I took her name and number and told her dad would call her back tomorrow.

We saw our neighbor behind us (Mr. Ron) on his porch and we decided to go say hi....and he was grilling some chicken and said he had plenty so he invited us to stay for dinner! It was good! It was nice not to have to prepare dinner. :) I am now planning on having that pizza for lunch tomorrow! :)

After dinner Mr. Ron, Thomas and Anna wanted to check the ditches for frogs. So I went along! :)

Thomas and I are having a contest to see who can stay up the latest.....we'll see how long I can last seeing as I got up at 6 this morning! :)

Happy Entry

I am happy today. :) I got a letter from a friend named Tabitha (she lives in Oregon) and she said she still wants me to be in her wedding. This is so wonderful.....I am so unworthy of this, too! ;) I cannot wait! I presented the idea to dad and he said I can go if I gain the necessary weight and I get my surgery done. :) But Tabitha isn't engaged yet and they aren't sure when the wedding will be. She is thinking maybe the spring but not totally sure. She wants the wedding colors to be lavendar and pale yellow! :) Which I am more than fine by cause I was actually wanting those colors in my wedding too! :) Please pray that all this works out and that I won't be nervous (I am already starting to get nervous) I have never been in a wedding!

Okay, another thing I wanted to tell was about this weird dream I had last night.....not really weird just......oh well. I dreamed that I married Chris.....I had a dream like that before. Sometimes I wonder if it really will come true....and when. I was actually courting him in the dream but we had the intention to get married in the future. I was sorry when I woke up! :(

well, we are out of real danger of the hurricane.....I thought you all wanted to know.....we just got wind and rain. There were quite a few broken limbs on trees. Mostly bradford Pears. Those always seem to be the ones to break in storms. Other than that we're fine.

Today Amy and Angela were supposed to have piano lessons but their teacher cancelled....so we still went out to Sam's, Old Navy and to lunch. I got a new white shirt at Old Navy. I also ended up buying a little baby pink cardigan for a baby gift for my friend's newborn. It was $1.99! Sometimes I am so amazed at Old Navy's prices. :)

Tuesday

I am feeling a bit better everyday. Though I still have a headache today. Though I think my fever is gone. Last night we ended up going to the new house after dinner to tackle the back flower beds and to take measurements for carpet and linolium (sp?). We met another neighbor and he is the brother of the Magnusson's (they live across the street from us on the same property as his sister Mrs. Magnusson and her husband). We were up there till like 9 pm. :) I think we found the carpet ppl that we are going to go with.

No news yet from Lowes. Hopefully soon!

Job Interview and sickness

Hey friends,

I have been feeling terrible yesterday and today.....I woke up yesterday with a headache and it lasted all day yesterday and today....I was also hot and cold off and on......so consequently I missed church this morning and tonight.....I feel better when I lay down and sleep. So I slept alot today and yesterday.....I have a job interview tomorrow morning with Lowes. I hope it all goes well. It will be wonderful to have a job and be making money again. Their starting pay is $7-$8 an hour! :) That will really help in saving for a 2-3 year old Honda Civic/Accord. Please pray that all will go well with the job interview. It wasn't really one of those places I had always dreamed of working.....but of course it's a job and they pay well. They will train me to be a cashier. :)

Friday

Today was a rather uneventful day. Not that we didn't go anywhere. I cleaned the main area of the downstairs.....Cause we should be expecting ppl to call wanting to look at our house anytime cause it's officially on the market now! :) Dad is funny he keeps saying that it will never sell! :( He just needs to have faith that it will sell! :) I had a physical today....also in preparation for my surgery. I am up to 111 pounds :) Yay! I have never weighted this much before. I was nervous about going to the Dr. because the dr. was a male and all......but there was really nothing to worry about. The nurse (a lady) asked me some questions about my period and all! Then after that we ran by the library cause I had to return some books and renew some. Then Mom and I went to Wal-mart to go grocery shopping....it was kinda boring without all the younger kids. Mom and I never made it to the scrapbooking thing last night but we ended up going to Lowes to look at appliances and countertops.....how boring! lol We also get dinner at KFC and went home to eat.....we were going to go up to the new house but never did cause Dad had a headache!

I guess this is all for now!
