THE GARBAGE BOWL!

Photobucket

ONE OF THE BEST IDEAS I'VE PICKED UP FROM RACHEL RAY HAS BEEN THE GARBAGE BOWL.  IT IS SUCH A NO-BRAINER...YET, IT NEVER OCCURED TO THIS BRAIN TO USE ONE.

I FOUND THIS VERY VINTAGE PORCELIN CONTAINER AT GOODWILL... $3.00.  I JUST LOVE IT!  IT'S BASIC WHITE AND BLACK.  VERY, REAL SIMPLE.

INCASE YOU'RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE GARBAGE BOWL... RR SUGGESTS THAT YOU KEEP A BOWL HANDY, WHILE YOU COOK AND JUST TOSS YOUR SCRAPS INTO IT, RATHER THEN WALKING BACK AND FORTH TO THE GARBAGE OR IF YOU'RE LIKE ME...SWINGING THE CUPBOARD DOOR OPEN AND SHUT ALL THE TIME.

YOU SHOULD TRY THIS TIP...IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY....

JUST A PICTURE OF OUR AUGUST FLOWERS....THE BLACK-EYED SUSAN.  THEY SURE ADD HAPPINESS TO OUR BACKYARD!

TIME TO START DINNER.............  WHAT'S COOKING?  I HAVE NO CLUE!

I love using a garbage bowl. Saves time and compost. When I am done with it, I have Hunter run it out to the compost bin.

Michele, that's a great idea. I keep an old enamal pot with a lid that I put food scraps, paper towels and paper napkins into and when it's full I take them and dump them into the compost outside.

The chard looks awesome! My chard was eaten by bugs this year, but several years back I had a gorgeous crop of chard. I wish I had had your recipe back then!

You and your cousin could be sisters! That's a pretty picture!

Wish you could come over and go to The Scrap Exchange with me. We could keep each other in line. ;)

Hugs,
Lynn
