JUST PEACHY!

Photobucket

I RECENTLY BOUGHT WAY TOO MANY PEACHES.  WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING?  I DON'T CAN THEM AND THE FREEZER PEACH PIE FILLING LOOKED MORE COMPLICATED THEN I WANTED TO GET INTO...  SO, I LOOKED THROUGH EVERY COOKBOOK I OWNED AND FOUND NOT ONE RECIPE FOR PEACH COBBLER!

I HAD A LIGHTBULB MOMENT AND REMEMBERED ALLRECIPES.COM!   EVERY SINGLE RECIPE I'VE EVER MADE FROM THIS SITE TURNS OUT REALLY AMAZING!

I WASN'T ABLE TO GET A PICTURE OF THE END RESULT... IT DISAPPEARED MUCH TOO FAST!  BRAD, TOMMIE AND I...DIDN'T NEED AN ENTIRE PEACH COBBLER..SO, I HAD TOMMIE TAKE SOME OVER TO OUR ELDERY NEIGHBOR....WHO THOUGHT IT WAS EXCELLENT!  EVEN WITHOUT ICE CREAM ON TOP!

FEELING PEACHY?  CLICK HERE FOR THE RECIPE:

We got peaches this year, too. When time was running out on everyone eating them fresh, (we got two large boxes) I tried something new for me. I just made a syrup of sugar and water and sliced peaches into it. Then I froze them. I should be able to use them in any recipe that calls for canned peaches or we can just take them out of the freezer and eat them on cottage cheese. My kids with some exceptions, love that. Right now, I'm dealing with about a bushel of tomatoes. Pizza sauce today. I loved your unschooling ideas. Jeannine

I love peaches!!! They're easy to freeze with a little sugar, in case you have any left.
