Jul. 13, 2007 - We're Have Arrived in Las Vegas!
First of all, I must thank all of you that have prayed for us since we mentioned our move. Thank you. The Lord has provided so many blessings upon us. We continue to pray as we are on our new path.
We arrived in Las Vegas at 11:30pm Tuesday. And man, was it hot! We immediately checked into the Extended StayAmerica, took showers and went to bed. If you have never stayed at their facilities let me just say they're like little apartments, with a full size fridge, microwave and stove top. They even provide pots, dishes, and utensils. We have laundry, pool, Jacuzzi, and a fitness center, right at the facility. Marcus is thrilled with his own TV and the sleeper coach. Charles and I have a King size bed, in our room and walkin closet. My favorite thing is the housekeeping service. (It's a welcome break)
Charles and I also are pleased with the cost of housing, gas, groceries and ect. Stuff is less expensive than San Diego.
We have been very busy, since arriving...getting a storage unit, unloaded and returned the truck, got library cards, and using our handy Thomas Guide to get around. People have been very helpful and friendly.
Today is a cool 100 degrees. I appreciate the cooler temps since on Wednesday I got a bit dehydrated and was laid out for the remainder of the day.
Well, I've gotta run. No more excuses...I'm actually going to go buy a swimsuit today

Hooray-- I am so glad you got there safely!
It's funny to hear you say that the prices out there are reasonable... it only makes sense when you say you're coming from California. ;-) But wowzers, that is a big difference-- San Diego vs. Las Vegas.
Happy swimsuit shopping, my friend! That is an adventure in and of itself.
