His Will And Not My Own

Jul. 26, 2007 - WHO AM I?

I found this fun little quiz on a friends website & I just thought that I would find out which LOTR character I am. This is too fun. Try it!

You are most like Arwen. Calm and reserved, you are not given to sudden outbursts. You conduct yourself with dignity...most of the time. The rest of the time you cut loose are are totally cool. You don't really think of yourself as popular, but plenty of people like you. You are not given to needless flirting. The right person will come along some day, and you are content to wait.

Mar. 20, 2007 - Tackle It Tuesday

Hopefully I will be able to post some finished pictures on here soon. Then again it may be days before I get the chance. I would probably be better off just joining one of these CONSTANT cleaning blogs, lol.!!!This week has started off pretty busy I must say. A dear friend of mine was in need of some babysitting help as of yesterday and she has 3 darling children and so I had 5 children altogether all day long yesterday ranging in age from 1, 7, 9, 12 & 13. Whew!!!! It was ALOT of work though. I have so much admiration & respect for YOU ladies out there who have alot of children. I absolutely LOVE children & have often wished to have more BUT I am very grateful for the 2 I have NO DOUBT. But yesterday was definitely an eye opener for me as to how you guys have to juggle everything. It really takes order and creativity to have a ship shape household & not a sinking ship doesn't it? Anyways, HATS OFF to all you ladies out there!!!! GOD BLESS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!!! This is for you guys:

Mar. 15, 2007 - THANKFUL THURSDAY

Things I am thankful for today:

* My peaceful home

* My computer & comfy chair

* My very energetic children who are bouncing off the walls today with excitement (wish I had some of that!) due to this being my ds's official party day!

* My newly incorporated PARTY DAYS! I recently decided & made it a rule that anytime my children complete a curriculum book (ex. for those of you using Math U See, if they finish the primer book, they have completed a book of curriculum)they get to have a party day each in which they get to decide what we do on that day, whether it be watching movies, playing games, going to the park, baking cakes & goodies, etc. I've found so far that this not only creates excitement for the upcoming parties but gives them a reason to be excited about school. Something to look forward to. Something that THEY have earned & can achieve. And this particular day off couldn't come at a better time for me because I'm just plain EXHAUSTED!

* My loving family who are all SAVED!!! YAY!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!

* My AWESOME friends who are alway's there for me (well, atleast most of the time when they can be reached, lol)

* My coffeemate creamer (Hey I need to go get a refill. Be right back. This may take a while due to the fact that I have to climb stairs, lol)

* My yoga pants & t-shirt!!!!

* The wonderfully considerate woman (and YES I said woman because it just HAD to have been a woman) who invented the maxi pad WITH wings : ) YAY!!!! HOORAY!!!!

* My very caring doctor (or atleast she PRETENDS to care but I really think she does) There are too many doctors out there nowadays that have given up their true calling to help others get well & instead have picked up the new role of drug pusher. Can you tell I've recently encountered one of those? lol.

* My very comfy bed that I am about to climb back into (No I'm not just lazy today. I think I may be a bit anemic due to a seemingly never ending monthly : (

Feb. 25, 2007 -

Been so busy for so long that it seems all I've had time to do is look and not write...But I haven't totally disappeared. I just recently went with a good friend of mine to the Sally Clarkson convention in Atlanta, Georgia and it was so worth it. My friend is pregnant so I made the drive for us both there & back (although she offered, there was NO WAY I was going to let my pregnant friend drive, ya know?) Anyways, it was a first for me. I've never been to one of her seminars and I haven't even read one of her books. But my friend had been telling me how totally awesome she is, so I had to see for myself and boy am I glad I did. We went for the weekend leaving on Friday and came home on Sunday. I came back completely refreshed and ready to see my beautiful children. In fact, I literally couldn't wait! Listening to Sally speak about loving and cherishing your family just made me miss them more and that's ALWAY'S a good thing in my book. So, as you can guess, while I was there I bought two of her books and am enjoying every sentence of them. She is an excellent writer. She gets right to the HEART of being a mother & wife and I truly believe she has a special anointing to minister to mothers & wives. And we actually went to her conference at the end of January, over a month ago, which is exactly why I haven't been able to write anything on here because if I do manage to get a few extra minutes, I've been trying to read her books.

But anyways, for those of you who have been keeping up w/the situation w/my niece, the latest is that there could be a wedding in the near future. I'm not sure how I feel about it though. Not that I have anything to do w/the situation whatsoever but we're just talking feelings here and my brain says "well, the word of God says that a couple should NOT live together in sin and that they should be married" , although my heart says "YIKES!!!! He's such a disrespectful young man, a non-christian (although he wouild tell you otherwise BUT there is absolutely NO fruit at all to show for it in his life BUT then again there have been plenty of times in my own life where at certain times I'm sure it's been very hard to discern any fruit in mine either, hmmmm such a touchy subject really, especially nowadays when you hear ALOT of teens saying that they have Jesus but you look at them and they appear to be living for the devil??? ,  he cannot support her financially and lays out of work ALOT & his job is not exactly a true trade (if that makes any sense), and he keeps her crying & upset alot....so bottom line...I feel extremely sorry for her parents who would have to make the decision whether they get married or not rigth now since she is still 17 & living with her boyfriend. I know it would be daunting task for myself. I am keeping them lifted up in prayer & my heart goes out to them. My own daughter is fastly approaching the teen years in fact she just turned 13 & for the most part it's exciting but then I look at my niece & it's terrifying!!!! Bottom line.....TRUST GOD!!!! obey His commands & then trust Him! That's all we can do right?

And we just found out that my great aunt is dying & they called hospice to come in so me, my mom & my sister are going to be sitting w/her one day this week and I'm really looking forward to that. She's such a beautiful woman and I'm sorry I haven't gotten to visit w/her more but I wanted to atleast see her once before she leaves us on her way to heaven. She's my mother's aunt and I never really knew my grandmother, her sister, because my grandmother died when I was just 4. So, it's been nice getting to know her sister. It's almost like the next best thing to her, ya know? It's funny, I never really thought much about my grandmother until I had a child of my own and then I realized how much I missed her NOT being here. But going to see my great aunt is also a little scary. Because what if she passes while we're there? You know, I've never witnessed that before & don't want to now. Lord help me!! I just now thought about that!!!!!YIKES!!!! I'm fixing to pray really hard!!!!!!!! I'll keep yall posted!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!

Jan. 8, 2007 - I've been tagged by a dear friend of mine

Ok so I've been tagged and I'm supposed to tell you 5 or 6 things about me that you may not know......hmmmmmm let's see

#1. I don't watch that much television but one of my favorite shows whenever I am watching t.v. and it happens to be on is, "Little People in a Big World". It's a reality show about little people with dwarfism. I just love it!!! The family is just beautiful and they love each other which is very evident in the show and I love the way they persevere through lifes struggles together.

#2. I love to take bubble baths!!!lol...

#3. When I was a girl I wanted to grow up and be a musician just like Madonna, THAT DIDN"T HAPPEN THANK YOU LORD!!!!

#4. I've alway's wanted to learn to play tennis and one of these days I will teach myself whenever I can find some extra cash to invest in all the equipment and whatnot needed.  well actually all I need are a few tennis rackets, one for me, one for my dd and one for my ds and some tennis balls...hmmm....sounds like a plan to me....I need to get into shape!

#5. I'm the baby of my family. I have an older sister who is 11 years older and an older brother who is 10 years older. My mother had a cancer scare after having my brother and they had to remove part of her uterus and only left her a tiny drip whole for a monthly period and was told she would never again have any more children and wala! I magically appeared. And although I am the baby, the majority of the time I feel like I am the oldest.  go figure????

#6. I am a nightowl! But I also love mornings! I have trouble sticking to schedules and have a bit of a problem with tardiness, which I hate about myself truthfully and I try very hard to NOT be like this, but ALAS....all we can do is try right?

okay this is all.....

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Truthfully I haven't felt like it. It's been pretty rough around here. I've been trying to council my niece who is 17 and has left home to move in with her 19 yr. old boyfriend. Of course she is not listening. I can only pray that a seed has been sown. She is my sister's daughter and my sister and mother have different opinions than me and it has been causing some friction. So right now I am butting out and just sticking to praying. The more you try the more you get hurt. Please keep her in your prayers.

Dec. 2, 2006 - I Survived, BARELY!!!!

Well, I'm still here and I just barely survived the thanksgiving weekend but not without a few scars..... We had Thanksgiving @ our house on Thurs., a family get together/wedding shower for a cousin on Fri., a family reunion consisting of somewhere around 100 people on Sat. (thankfully @ a local hotel where we rented a room) & another family get together for breakfast before they all headed back home on Sun. @ our home. Needless to say, we were unfortunately unable to make this all happen w/o any hitches. Why is it, that wherever there is family, there has to be family drama???? Is it just written or what??? Well, that's exactly what we had and wouldn't you know I was in the very middle of it all??? And what really gets me, is that I really tried sooo very hard to do the right thing by keeping my mouth shut and I still got into trouble. It's such a long story that I'm not about to try and write it all down but in the end me & my immediate family were basically run through the coals by other family members and it was not good. But I am very proud of myself and my family because through it all, we chose the high road. We did the right thing, we forgave and showed much love & mercy although we were shown NONE whatsoever.... So, we are praying for our family members & this situation so if you could keep us in your prayers it would be extremely appreciated....So, after everyone left I hit the couch and did not leave that spot (except for the normal everyday necessities: food & restroom, lol) for the next 36 hours and I am NOT kidding. I suffered from pure exhaustion of body, mind & spirit.... And since then I have been very sad over the events that unfolded. It really makes me want to start incorporating the word "NO" into my vocabulary more often but I'm sure there would still be drama even then.   okay i gotta go, my ds is thirsty and so am i....God bless all who read this, and here's something I would like to leave with those of you who feel my pain,

"Are you exhausted today? Are you taking pills for energy to get through the day? Or are you on a nervous high and need something to slow you down? Perhaps what your body is really crying for is rest. Is there rest for anyone in this tension-filled world? As the disciples returned from a missionary journey, they were elated with their success. They gave glowing reports of how God had worked. jesus was glad to hear their accounts, but he knew that they needed physical rest after their arduous journey. He invited them to come rest with him in a quiet place. We, too, need to refresh ourselves to maintain physical and spiritual strength. OUr schedules are demanding. They drain our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life. God's Holy Spirit gives us strength for his schedule for us. I believe God plans for us to include times of rest and relaxation in our schedule. If the disciples needed rest, so do we. Our rest times may consist of a vacation where we can rest and relax, a change of environment, or simply a respite right where we are. Time spent with the Lord brings renewal and refreshment." Millie Stamm

"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me ikn paths of righteousness for his name's sake." Psalm 23:2-3

"Since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it." Hebrews 4:1

"Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12

"There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall." Hebrews 4:9-11

LOVE TO ALL!!! GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU DURING THESE HOLIDAYS!!!

Oct. 15, 2006 - Working Diligenty To Get This Job Done

Okay so I've been busy ALL WEEK LONG.....

PAINTING  & SEWING...

But atleast my kitchen is finally done

And my sister returned on friday to help with the curtains

and my mom came too, YAY!!!

since my dad went on a church camping trip

and so we were busy at it all night just about on my curtains

and as of today they are finished  too,

 well almost...lol..

I'm having a bit of a problem with the balloon shades,

they aren't coming up the way they should...

so hopefully I'll be able to study the pattern incessantly

until I figure the stupid thing out, good grief!!!

And besides all that,

we've been clearing out the downstairs schoolroom

that will soon become our workout room

and moving everything upstairs to the bonus room

which will be our new schoolroom. T

he bonus room has much more room and so I'm pretty excited.

And what's even more exciting is the fact that I did NOT want to move my computer into the schoolroom upstairs because I didn't want it to be easily accessible to the children and so I had found a computer armoire at wal-mart ON SALE  for under a 100 bucks, CAN'T BEAT THAT!!!!and so dh gave me the money for it and so I called the store this weekend BEFORE getting in the car to travel a gazillion miles to the store and guess what???they had my armoire but it was the LAST ONE and it had been on display but nothing was wrong w/it and they had taken another 40 bucks off so I ended up getting it for 60 bucks!!! YAY!!!! God is soooo GOOD!!!! And my dd was blessed by that as well because we had put some clothing on lay away for her several weeks ago and I was going to have to wait another 2 weeks for the next payday before I could get them out of lawaway BUT guess what??? I only owed 40 bucks on her lawaway so I was able to use the 40 bucks that I would have spent on my armoire on her layaway, another blessing!!! YAY!!!!

GOD IS GOOD!!!!ALL THE TIME!!!

And so we put the armoire in my bedroom right next to the schoolroom. It's all coming together, don't you just LOVE IT when it does? me too!

I'll just be glad when it's all over  with and my house is in order once more.

My poor dh is not liking all this mess in between but I think seeing atleast one finished product (the kitchen) has somewhat comforted him a bit and me too!!!

My children are hauling off stacks of books, etc. up to the new schoolroom as we speak and I think I need to help a bit now because I'd like to atleast be able to put my dh's workout equipment into this room instead in the entryway for everyone to bump into, uggghhhh......

"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty." Proverbs 14:23

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Oct. 9, 2006 - A Day Filled With Tassel and Fringe

Today we took the day off ,

not so much because it was Columbus Day

but if it weren't for it being Columbus Day,

we would not have been taking it off.....lol...

Here let me explain, after talking to my big sister,

(she's 11 yrs. older),  yesterday on the phone,

I had asked her if she would help me

with my breakfast nook curtains,

which my mother originally sewed for me

but I've alway's wanted to make them into

balloon shades and add tassels & fringe....

And I am not a proficient sewer,

unlike my brilliant sister who sewed my wedding dress for me over 12 years ago in a matter of 2 weeks.

So I asked my her for help and she lovingly said

"OF COURSE, I'd LOVE TO!"

So, she recommended that we start on it today since she had the day off and so she drove all the way over here (about 50 min.'s not too bad but it's not exactly close either) just to help her lil' sis....

I AM SOOO BLESSED TO HAVE HER!!!!

She arrived and we ended up conversing for nearly 2 1/2 hours before we even got a chance to write down our shopping list and head off to our first stop which was Wal-Mart, needless to say it was NOT the store we needed to go to and so we ended up at JoAnn's and boy was that FUN!!!

I ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT LOVE THAT STORE!!!!!

I could totally like hang out there ALL DAY LONG!!!

They've just about got it all....

And so we spent several hours there mulling over tassels and fringe w/sample fabrics from my curtains in the breakfast nook and my dining room curtains....there was sooo much to choose from but we finally made our final decision on some very YUMMY tassels and fringe for both kitchen and dining room....

By the time we got back to my house however, we didn't have much time to work with but we managed to get it started by marking where the rings will be hand sewn onto the curtains for the balloon shades...then all good things had to come to an end and it was time for my big sis to return home for she has to work in the morning and she didn't even leave my house until after 9pm. w/a 50 min. drive home....Talk about sacrifice...

There's NOTHING like having a big sister!!!

 I thank GOD for her!!

Hopefully she will be able to return this friday and spend the night and we can get the curtains finished but in the meantime I have my work cut out for me!!!

I have to finish painting the entire kitchen before she returns....Not to mention I have to paint my guest room, guest bathroom, foyer, my bedroom and bath and my playroom, EEEEEK~~~ where are my clones????

I'm going to see about posting some before and after photo's so that you can all keep up with my progress....

Okay well...that's all folks...I have lil' ones waiting upstairs for me to tuck them in, say prayers and read the bible to them...

God bless everyone who reads this!!!

Here's a little something for you all:

When Mother Teresa received her Nobel Prize, she was asked, "What can we do to promote world peace?" She replied, "Go home and love your family."

"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3

 5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?  11:55 am

 6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? my childrens voices especially my ds's very loud voice, lol.....just love em'

 7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

hmmm....that would be last night at around 8pm. or so and I was going outside to tell my ds to come in, he was playing w/his good friend who lives directly across the street and they were playing in the cul de sac.

 8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?  I was looking at a friend of mines blog and then I looked at a friend of hers blogs and then I looked at that friends daughters blog and saw this quiz, YAY!

 10. Did you dream last night?  yes actually I did and I woke up remembering it and it was a bit sad because I dreamed of an old friend of mine who just over a year ago stopped being my friend because she felt I had abandoned my first love (Jesus) and that I basically wasn't christian enough to be her friend, so anyhoo, I dreamed that she wanted to be friends again and that we started talking, WEIRD but more than that SAD very SAD!!!

 11. When did you last laugh?  Yesterday afternoon my dd was cleaning up our schoolroom because she's on restriction right now for lying to us and so I decided to come and help a bit because there are things of mine that I must go through as the room is being cleaned so anyhow we started making silly faces at each other and then we started singing silly songs and next thing you know we were cracking up!!!!

 12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?  a calendar, chore chart, a blessing chart, to go to the ant chart, the if-then chart, the brother offended checklist, letter tiles A-Z, world map, rules to remember when writing a sentence and a paper on "whats your attitude"?

I would give 10% to God as tithe and then I would give an offering, i would pay my parents and sisters houses off, I would do some MAJOR christmas shopping for everyone I love!!! I would pay off my house, build a huge game room on the back of my house and get me an inground swimming pool just beyond the game room....the possibilities are endless but I would hope that I would FIRST pray about what GOD wants me to do with all that money.

 17. Tell me something about you that I don’t know.  Okay, ummm....I'm the baby in my family and my big sister is 11 years older and my big brother is 10 years older. Oct. 6, 2006 - Encouragement for those like me...

Just wanted to give some encouragement

for those of you out there who are struggling like me

to be the wife that GOD expects me to be.

God has shown me lately that I need to guard my tongue especially in regards to my dh.

And that talking about the problem

instead of giving it directly to HIM isn't helping either.

So here are a few encouraging words.

 GOD BLESS!

We should seize every opportunity to give encouragement. Encouragement is oxygen to the soul.

"A man hath joy by the answer of this mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!"

Proverbs 15:23

I regret often that I have spoken; never that I have been silent.

"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise."

Proverbs 10:19

Kind words can be short and easy to speak,

but their echoes are truly endless.

"She opens her mouth with skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness

(giving counsel and instruction)."

Proverbs 31:26

A house is made of walls and beams;

a home is made of love and dreams.

"Better a meal of vegetables where there is love

than a fattened calf with hatred."

Proverbs 15:17

Ninety percent of the friction of daily life

is caused by the wrong tone of voice.

"A man finds joy in giving an apt repy--

and how good is a timely word!"

Proverbs 15:23

Forgiveness is giving love when there is no reason to.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."

Matthew 5:7

May the Lord richly bless all who read this and be with you!!!

Oct. 5, 2006 - A PLUG IN !!!

I just have to put a plug in for a recent movie that me & my family just watched, "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" ..

This movie is WONDERFUL in everyway!

Finally a kid movie that's worth bragging about

When I first heard about it, I was skeptical, after hearing that it was basically a remake of Grease. I wasn't quick to watch it, remembering what Grease was like (epitomy of WRONG!!!) But recently I read an excerpt from a Focus on the Family magazine that I receive that was giving this movie tons of praise and so I had to see for myself and I'm hooked as well.

This movie is quite the opposite of the Grease that I grew up watching (unfortunate for me!!) It's very sweet and yet very entertaining!!
Okay I'm done, watch it for yourself and tell me what you think.

Oct. 4, 2006 - I AM SO VERY THANKFUL!!!

As I'm writing this blog tonight I'm feeling quite THANKFUL!!

It's amazing how when we tend to focus on our problems, they seem to get even worse but when we LET GO and LET GOD everything falls into place.

Me & my dh have had a not so great weekend, with some fussing & not enough time together. Truthfully, I am to blame because I have lately been focusing on what my dh does NOT do and most of you I'm sure already know that focusing on the things your spouse doesn't do NEVER helps a thing. Well, although I definitely KNOW better, I still sometimes tend to fall into that same trap but thankfully EVERY time the Lord shows me that I have just as many faults IF NOT MORE!!! And nagging my dh is definitely NOT the answer, although I sometimes make that mistake, I try very hard not to. I'm reminded of that certain scripture in the bible, "Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred."Proverbs 15:17 and "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Proverbs 15: 1. And isn't it the truth every single time.

But the other night as I was contemplating all that my dh doesn't do and wallowing in my own self pity, all of a sudden I felt ashamed, I realized that all I had done all day long was think unappreciatively about my dh. I even spouted off ugly remarks as to the things he doesn't do to a very close friend of mine and all of a sudden while driving in my car on the way home from the supermarket God reminded me of all I had done wrong that day and I was immediately ashamed and convicted. Then all of sudden out of nowhere came sirens and I was forced to pull off the side of the road for there were several police cars & unmarked cars flying past me and I noticed that as they went past, they were turning the exact way I was about to turn and I wondered "wow, is it yet another accident, I hope & pray everyone's okay" and so I began to pray and all of a sudden it dawned on me, WHAT IF? what if it was my dh? This was about the time that he would be coming home. I immediately felt HORROR at even the thought of spending one moment on this planet without him and so I immediately called his cell and no answer and then I called home and my mom answered (they were staying at our house) and so I asked her "is he home?" and she said "yes" WHEW!!!! What a relief!!! And he got on the phone and I was so thankful to hear his sweet voice!!! Right then & there I realized that I had been so stupid and so very wrong!!!! It's not okay to merely sit around and talk badly about my dh to a close friend! It's the same as talking about one friend to another behind their back! And to me, this is so much worse because he is MY VERY BEST FRIEND!!! (Jesus being #1 of course)

There is so much to improve in ME that there is really no need to even look at anyone else much less my dh. So, that's what I'm going to try to do from now on, when I'm flooded with thoughts about what he doesn't do I will replace them with what he DOES do, like first of all, PUT UP WITH ME!!! That's enough right there!

Thanks for listening & God Bless YOU ALL!!!

Oct. 3, 2006 - PEACE & QUIET

Well, my parent's have just left to go back home. They've been staying with us since last Friday. We have an up & coming reunion on the horizon and we are trying to prepare for it by getting my parent's old photos together and scrapbooking them so that we can display them for the reunion. Great idea, I must say BUT I wish I would have came up with it month's ago...Our reunion is Thanksgiving weekend which doesn't exactly give me much time. And right now my house is in utter CHAOS with big blobs of paint on walls ( I recently bought sample paints to test out on my walls) and so there's that, there's paint cans everywhere. We've painted our bedroom closet but we had to take ALL of our clothes out of it to do so and so they are all over our bedroom YIKES!!!! So, it's like we're remodeling and so everything is out of place and out of sort and it also adds to my stress!!!!! I cannot stand for my house to be out of order and MESSY!!!! It makes me FEEL overwhelmed!!! But, now that my parents have left I can start to concentrate on getting the painting done and over with so that I can put everything back in place and regain my homes rightful order. I wish I knew how to post pic's on here because I would LOVE to show you guys how this place looks!! So, if anyone can give me any tips???I'm listening... Well, I better get off here because I'm planning on watching a movie w/my precious children before I put them to bed...DH will more than likely stay in our bedroom watching t.v. because I said something to him today about him watching his trashy shows in front of the children and he was pretty upset and stormed upstairs...but....I have asked and pleaded so many times and he doesn't seem to care and so this evening when I walked into the kitchen as my dd was finishing up her supper at the dinner table and I heard them cussing on the t.v. it just enraged me and so I pretty much fussed him out in front of the children (which I never like to do because I usually have our talks in private but sometimes it just doesn't turn out the way it should)....why is it such a battle?????????

Sep. 25, 2006 - A Pretty Decent Day

Today was a pretty decent day!

For those of you who offered me some much needed advice about a friend of mine, well, you'd be proud to know that I apologized today. We don't see each other that often so I had to wait until I saw her. Anyways, it went pretty well except that she didn't want to admit that she was even mad in the first place but none of that matters anyhow because I did what I knew was right and that's what counts in the end. That's all we can do.

I'm sooo ready for fall right now. I wish it would hurry up and arrive. I'm totally tired of all this HOT HUMID weather!

Fall is such a romantic month I think. But come to think of it, so is winter!!! LOL!

This week is a pretty busy week! Co-ops today, pictures tomorrow and our monthly school meeting will be friday and I was asked to teach the young ones a bible lesson, EEEK!!! Infront of all the parents, EEEEK!!! I know I'm chicken but hey atleast I can admit it, lol....

Now, I only need to figure out what I'm going to teach!! (I'm pulling my hair out as I speak, just kidding)

If anyone has any last minute ideas, please shoot em in my direction!!!

Man, I am sooo tired right now and my kids are getting baths because my ds had t-ball practice this evening and so we had to come home, cook, eat, and now they're taking baths and I just realized that I promised to watch a movie with them after their baths and it's already 9pm. YIKES!!! And my husband is working late AGAIN! Poor guy! He works so hard for this family!! I could NOT ask for a harder working husband that's for sure but we sure do miss him! And since dad's not home and I PROMISED, I guess I won't be getting out of it. BUT that will put my kids getting to bed pretty late and that does NOT make me happy!! So what do I do???? I'm such a push over when it comes to this and I'm trying very hard NOT to be!!!

But what I feel like doing is putting them to bed and getting a bath myself....hmmmmm. I think I will think more on this....

I hate breaking a promise though....

okay i gotta get, my ds is screaming for me!!! EEEEEK

Sep. 17, 2006 - Advice Welcomed

Today I woke up reflecting on a weeks worth of happenings...........

And just realizing how much I need to work on MYSELF...............

Have you ever came across someone that you just couldn't seem to

be good friends with? Someone that just had a knack at getting

under your skin? I mean maybe they're not even trying to and it's

just their personality that you just can't seem to meld with? Well,

of lately that has been my problem. This person has picked me to

try and become good friends with and every time I try to hang out

with this person or talk to them, I am left feeling exhausted,

aggravated and basically like I've been hit by a MACK TRUCK.

Then a day or two later I pray and ask God to forgive me for

feeling such horrible feelings about this person and then I feel bad

for them because I know that they are new to our school, our group

and everyone and so I try once more to reach out but every time

with the same exact results. Well a few days ago I apparantly

really blew it at camoflauging my feelings because this person had

literally put my brain through a mixer just that morning and when

I saw them and they began to approach me I turned my back.

OUCH! I know that's mean. I really didn't plan it though, it just

happened without even thinking about it. But you see, unfortunately

I wasn't born with the ability of pretense. If I am mad, sad, aggravated,

etc. you will see it all over my face. And I hate it! Because the last

thing I ever want to do is hurt someone's feelings. But I've also been

hurt ALOT by people that are controlling and manipulative and nowadays

when I am sought after by the like I cannot deal with it. And this person

is like that. I have tried to help this person and I have prayed for them and

hoped that they would find someone else to hang around with instead of

coming after me. But to no avail and just the other day when I turned my

back on them it really made this person very upset and they told a very

close friend of mine and asked my friend to mediate between us and

said that they didn't undertstand how I could be nice one minute and

give them the cold shoulder the next and that I was making them feel

uncomfortable in the group and their children too (which is OUTRAGEOUS

to me because other than me turning my back in the beginning, I was not

mean and especially not to their children, I love children and am NOT

mean to them) But anyways, at this moment I am unaware as to how to

handle this situation. I do not in any way wish to hurt her at all but at the

same time I do not wish to hang out with her either. Does anyone have

any advice for me? In the meantime I will pray. Thanks!
