Friday afternoon Steve and I went walking around the local lake for exercise. While we were walking our oldest son called. He and his fiance were at the golf course finalizing the plans for their wedding ceremony. He wanted to get married in one of two places, a church or a golf course. Since our church is being renovated and ugly inside they opted for the golf course with a reception to follow at the community center. So, September 16 is the big day! We're very excited!!!!
Miranda (future daughter-in-law) found her dress and the bridesmaids dresses last week. They've booked the ceremony and the reception. Talked to caterers. So many details!
After they finished up at the golf course they were able to meet us and go out to dinner. What a treat! It was just the four of us and we had a wonderful time. Jared (our son) saw some of his work buddies and they started throwing peanuts at each other from across the room. Guess what? Since he is twenty-two I didn't even need to tell him to stop! I got to be the good guy!!! Woo Hoo!!! My role has changed from that of instructor to friend. It's a wonderful place to be.
