To the WeB-loggers around the world – Greetings!
On remembering my blog, I went and glanced over it, wondering if it had been deleted yet, and having a sudden feeling of nostalgia, I took it upon myself to compose a message.
It has been a long time, I can’t remember what I wrote last, but I’ll make an attempt to bring all my fans up to date with all my doings. Over the past… Year? Year and a half? Can’t remember. You may think,
“Oh that Fett boy, he’s gone away and left us – left us behind – and forgotten us.” But lo! I’m writing an entry, and I haven’t forgotten any of my good commenters. And rare is the week that has gone by in which Yoshi or I have not said,
“Heh, heh remember Sharla used to say ‘Blah blah blah?’” or “Remember on my blog I used to have that little thing on my sidebar?”
So I haven’t forgotten about my blog or anyone else’s blog or those little funny things I used to do like going around and making people templates for them (ha, ha, the hours I wasted…) and making puny pleas to everyone such as this,
“Now hear this – give me comments comments COMMENTS!”
Ho ho, those were fun days.
Let us now brush briefly over the things I’ve done.
On the 21st of February, 2009, I turned 16, which allowed me to get my learners permit for driving, so I’ve been having fun with that, I can give you endless storys about that after my summary.
The February 7th “Black Saturday” fires tore through Victoria. This meant that it got up to 50º C, which is 122º F (I just can’t understand why some people use Fahrenheit!). On this day, we went up on the roof because “we was raring with anxiety to see the fire” (as Albert from “The magic Pudding” said). We sat up there watching Kinglake burn, (but at that time we didn’t know that it was so serious) and cheered the fire fighting helicopters and aeroplanes that flew over us and vanished into the thick haze of smoke. After all this we listened in horror as the facts came through on the radio that hundreds of people had been burnt alive.
I’ve had many achievements in the way of virtual artistry, such as my discovery of a marvelous program called Linux Multi Media Studio (L.M.M.S.). On the discovery of this program, which was a breakthrough, since I had been looking for such a program for over 3 years. In fact ever since I said to AussieFeller,
“You know, Newsboys use their electronic sounds well.” To which he replied,
“Yeah, we should give it a shot one day.” And on the return to my home at Heathcote, I began my search for something that would allow me to “give it a shot.”
I found it, and oh what good times I’ve had. I’ve produced some pretty good stuff, even though I say so myself. In fact, I’m listening to some now. If anyone has every tried naming a tune that doesn’t have words, they know, it’s got to be one of the hardest things to name. The hardness of naming them is shown in the fact that they are named things like, “Electric Coconut,” and “Hard Drive.”
Lately also, I have rediscovered that spalding program Blender3D. I have of late been in the process of making some 3D games on it, pretty corny ones mind you since I do not posses the knowledge to create one of real worth. This means, I’ve been doing things like finally after many tutorials, figuring out how to get the camera to follow my tank which was a major breakthrough in my Blender skill levels. One of my superb discoveries was that I can actually put sound on my games. Blender really is one of those programs that you simply must take it upon yourself to look into. I’ve got a couple of things I want to ask BlenderBoy, so I’ll do that presently.
About my Learners permit.
Well, you see, it is not a simple thing, I mean it is now, but at first this is what it feels like.
As I hunch over the steering wheel, it is not a cool (as in temperature) feeling, it is hot as a pot. I always felt extremely hot, and when a car passed me, I winced thinking it would take of my side mirror, but it didn’t most of the time. When I get out of the car, the funny thing is, I’m not sweaty, just as hot as a body could be.
Another menacing thing, is the fact that I have to get a whole 120 hours of driving practice. This is rather a lot, anyone will agree, but it is really a good Idea considering the foolhardy P platers that hoon around the roads wreaking havoc everywhere in their path. Recently, I realised a great big mistake in my log book, and had to cross out a whole five pages, which was a great blow to my pride.
I think I will draw this to a close. Realise now, that this doesn’t necessarily mean that I am back for good, this probably mean that I may be able to squish in a couple of entrys each week/fortnight. So now I will treat myself to going around and commenting on a couple of my old friend’s blogs.
