The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY: October 6th, 2008

Outside My Window... I see garbage bags protecting the sill, the tops of trees, and the tops of hills.. and the top of one of the neighbors barns and house. (We hare on a hill, so when I am sitting down, all I see is the top of everything.. LOL)

I am thinking...  how tired I am.. *rubs eyes*

I am thankful for... my awesome big brothers!

From the kitchen... chili is reheating

I am wearing... a wool, maroon, skirt and a cotton, blue, t-shirt

I am creating... stories in my head.

I am going... to go read soon...

I am reading... Ben-Hur, and Titus through Revelations! We will be done with our Bible reading challenge with the boys this next Sunday, then we will start over again!

I am hoping... time will go faster for me this week.. I can't wait for the weekend!

I am hearing... little boys playing downstairs, and Ben talking to Mom about his cooler pickup, which he is rebuilding the engine...

Around the house.... is a mess. It is often like this in a large family...

One of my favorite things... full skirts. So swirly and feminine! I love them!

Oct. 2, 2008 - Feelin' Feminine Challenge 2

Here is my second day of the Feelin' Feminine challenge. =) Actually, this was yesterday, because I couldn't post it yesterday..


I am wearing my hair in two pigtails. As you can tell from the front one, my hair is pretty thick!
I am also wearing a white button up shirt with the cuffs folded over the cuff of my favorite blue sweater.
My skirt is really striped with white. It is probably my shortest skirt.

I'll post later as to what I am wearing today. =)

Sep. 30, 2008 - Feelin' Feminine Challenge

Here is my first picture for the Feelin' Feminine Challenge. I'm sorry the picture is soo grainy, but that can't be helped at the moment. =)


I am wearing my favorite skirt, which is Anne's. My sleeves are still rolled up from doing the dishes earlier. I had just taken my rubber band out of my hair, though I usually wear my hair back in a loose pony tail that always falls out. LOL

Outside My Window... from my view on the couch, I see the tops of the really tall trees

I am thinking...  how 'different' butter pecan ice cream is

I am thankful for... school, no matter how much I complain!

From the kitchen... Ben is eating leftover tacos from Mom's birthday dinner!

I am wearing... Anne's skirt, which is my favorite, a blue t-shirt, and a pink button up shirt that isn't buttoned up.

I am creating... still that same thing.. the reading and review blog. =)

I am going... oh.. what was I going to do? I can't remember, sorry..

I am reading... only the Bible.. Titus through 2 Peter

I am hoping... that my reading and review blog will be done by Oct 1!

I am hearing... Ben putting his dishes in the sink. LOL

Around the house... white.. how boring!

One of my favorite things... is my shoes! No, I am not a fanatic about shoes.. I only have 1 pair.. anways, my shoes are really cool!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Not sure.. probably more decluttering.. fun fun... ugh!

This is a funny picture for me to see, because in practically all my pictures I am laughing! Plus, I look like I am wearing make-up, which I am not.

The Simple Woman's Daybook FOR TODAY September 22, 2008... Outside My Window... nothing special is happening.. there isn't any vehicles on the highway that is a few miles away, right now.. so, nothing interesting!

I am thinking... 'bout the SSA! And who might be the person who has me.. I know, a little early to be thinking about that... LOL

I am thankful for... the food I am to eat soon!

From the kitchen... Enchiladas baking, and Rase setting the table

I am wearing... My 'cowboy' shirt and my oldest denim skirt, that is practically in rags! Why my 'cowboy' shirt is called the 'cowboy' shirt, is because when Anne was about 12, she had a cow who's name was Cowboy, and she was in 4H with him, and so Anne got this shirt.. but it never fit her, so when I got old enough, I started wearing it! It is about 10 years old!

I am creating... a reading and review blog..

I am going... to help Mom declutter after dinner, I think.

I am reading... Gospel for Asia

I am hoping... that we have sour cream for the enchiladas

I am hearing... Elle making noises, Don Francisco singing 'Love is not a Feeling' and this noisy computer hum.

Around the house... is pretty messy.. clothes scattered in the living room, coming from boxes from the guest room!

One of my favorite things... is to cross stitch
