The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY: October 6th, 2008

Outside My Window... I see garbage bags protecting the sill, the tops of trees, and the tops of hills.. and the top of one of the neighbors barns and house. (We hare on a hill, so when I am sitting down, all I see is the top of everything.. LOL)

I am thinking...  how tired I am.. *rubs eyes*

I am thankful for... my awesome big brothers!

From the kitchen... chili is reheating

I am wearing... a wool, maroon, skirt and a cotton, blue, t-shirt

I am creating... stories in my head.

I am going... to go read soon...

I am reading... Ben-Hur, and Titus through Revelations! We will be done with our Bible reading challenge with the boys this next Sunday, then we will start over again!

I am hoping... time will go faster for me this week.. I can't wait for the weekend!

I am hearing... little boys playing downstairs, and Ben talking to Mom about his cooler pickup, which he is rebuilding the engine...

Around the house.... is a mess. It is often like this in a large family...

One of my favorite things... full skirts. So swirly and feminine! I love them!

I am quite forgetful myself. I sometimes can't remeber if I have asked mom something just two minutes before so I ask it again and she says "Mara you just asked me that." :-D

Camping was fun. I have never been hunting. My brother goes every year but I can't stomach the thought of killing an animal. I don't do blood so well. :-D

I do hope that Bluejane posts more Henry Pickle. I loved it. :-D If she had it published I would buy it.

Well it's neat anyway. How many people can say that their about me section is in Latin? I started to learn Latin once...........I didn't get very far as I realized that there were languages I could learn that people actually spoke. :-D (I'm finally getting to start my Spanish because as I was unpacking an unmarked box I found it!! I just had to squeal in delight as soon as I saw it. :-D)
