Hello

Hey all you people! Long time no post.
I guess the most exciting news is that *drum roll please*

JOSIAH GOT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet a real car! It is actually a mini van but it is really sweet and souped-up. It is a 2001 FORD (sorry all you chevy friends. i'm a FORD gal!) Windstar. It has a 6 CD compatable CD player, adjustable seats and gas pedals (which is cool for me because im short ). Here is a picture of a van but not his van. We forgot to take pics. But i will as so as i can. he is at the moment getting the title done.
The way he got the van is awesome. Or good friends from West Virgina bought a van off Ebay. They drove to Mass. To pick it up. Since they were in the neighborhood, they stopped by for the weekend. Low and behold they had this van that they wanted to sell. They offered it to Josiah for a really really good price. So he bought it! That night mom, Josiah and i went out to celebrate. We went out to the mall and ate dinner at Penera Bread. The next day Josiah and i went out and bought all sorts of stuff for the car.
Anyway, here is a pic of what the van looks like:

Even though its a mini van, its pretty sweet.
So, theres my big news. And now i must  run!

life in general!

Hello~
It hasn't been to long since my last update (thats a first ).
I think i will start off this post with pics of my brothers rabbits:

Dobby

Winkey.
Aren't they so cute??? I love them. They both love it when you hold then.

Ok. well, i have a few more pics for from our celebration of the 4th:
Me and Josiah. I ate a ton of kettle corn that night. I LOVE the stuff!

Josh and Zack eating ice pops.

This is where the Fireworks took place. We got front row seats, cus we were on the pastor's lawn. They were OK. I am used to west point fireworks so i wasnt to impressed. Josiah and i are hoping to go next year.
Mom and i went to town the other day. we walked, and looked around in the stores.  A new store opened up which is now my most favorite. Its a little boutique named after the children's book "The Giving Tree". It sells some of the most awesome things like clothes, stationary, dish sets, all in retro and vintage patterns. I LOVE it. We also went to the Dinner where we had French fries, soda, coffee, and and a bagel.

So....the big news... JOSIAH GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And not just a job a GREAT job! He is working for a friend for a couple of weeks in construction. The friend is a very influential man in this community. Anyway, he found him a really good paying job that he can start in 2 to 3 weeks! I am so happy for him! Thanks for all your prayers on that matter!

life!

Hello all you people!
How is life?? Mine is pretty crazy at the moment. Josiah quit his job the other day. Yes what a shock! But it wasnt for a stupid reason. They got mad at him cus he wouldnt come in on the 4th July, when they told him that he had it OFF and didnt tell him until the day before that he had to be in. We had made previous plans and Josiah told them that he was sorry but he couldnt come in. They then cursed him out and said all sorts of mean and nasty things to he. Sad to say this wasnt the first time that they have said stuff like that to him, they even hit him a couple time in the head! So after talking to daddy and mom, Josiah put his 2 weeks in and they told him to leave and dont come back. Whatever! He already has some construction work lined up for him for thursday, friday, and saturday. So he's good. He is almost ready to take his first test for his A+ certifications. Once he has them he can get a REALLY good job and make the money he needs. When you all think of it, please pray for wisdom. He also needs a car so he can get a better job so that is another thing to pray about.  Thanks.
Today was a crazy day. There is something wrong with our van again. We have no idea but it broke down twice today. Mom is not feeling good also.

On the 4th we stayed home and celebrated on Monday. Our town had some fireworks and a concert. with lots of vendors and food. We had fun, but the fireworks were not the greatest. The best are at West Point, the Army Academy. Those are the best in the whole world! Josiah and i are hoping to go next year.
Well, i think thats all for now. i'll try to be better with updating.

My trip to NY city

Hello, hello! We had a really nice vacation. I had so much fun.
On Friday, we went to the last day of VBS. The night went well and the boys had allot of fun. Dad left right away and Josiah, mom and i ordered pizza and rented The Godfather (which by the way is up on my top 10 fav list. its a little boring in some parts but other wise very interesting and enjoyable).  We ended up going to bed around 1 o'clock.  we got up at 6:30, packed, and drove to the city. Josiah did all the driving the whole weekend and had allot of fun while doing so. We ate junk food and drank soda and listen to music the whole 3 hours there.
When we reached my Uncle's (he just got a new apartment and invited us to stay with him).  We walked in, dumped our stuff in tiny, tiny apartment (which was pretty cute all in all) and drove to the beach! We hung out there for a couple of hours and had SO much fun. Around 2:30 we packed everything up and went to the van, just to find out that the keys were looked inside! Josiah had left them in his shorts pocket which was put into the van! So my uncle went and asked some guy to take him to his apartment so he could get moms spare keys. So all in all we were only delayed about 30 minutes. So we went back to the apartment, took showers, and got ready to go out. We went to Park Slope to meet up with my uncle Joe (the one who was married in DC) and Mrs. Christy. We were going to have dinner with them at a nice little pizza place called Mrs. Susan’s.  It rained torrentially for an hour and we sat in the restaurant and waited 2 hours til my uncle came (they got stuck in the subway for a while).  We enjoyed a nice meal (that lasted about 4 hours) then we went back to my uncle’s apartment set up some beds and slept soundly.
The next day, Sunday, we got up, packed the car, and went to the diner for Breakfast. We then took the Long Island Ferry to Manhattan. We then stood online for the Ellis Island Ferry, and after 1 1/2 hours of standing on line and going through security, we made it onto the boat. about an hour later we got to the Island (the ferry made a stop at Liberty Island and all those interested could get off and all those who were finished could get back on to the ferry to go to the island). We walked around the museum for a while. I really wasn’t impressed with it, too much space not allot of stuff. When we were getting ready to leave we went out to the ferry and stood on line. We were almost on the ferry when it started to POUR!!! The ferry was full, so we had to go wait inside for the next one. Needless to say, we made it back to Manhattan. We walked around for a while, saw the first park in NY, feed pigeons off Josiah's shoes, and walked around the cool sellers. I bought Josiah an airbrushed tattoo and myself a cool picture of the NY sky line with the Twin Towers Memorial Lights. We then got back onto the ferry and made it home in good time.
That NIGHT, we went out to Wal-Mart and bought my dad his Birthday/ Christmas/ Anniversary/ any other holiday gift. A 37 in LCD flat screen TV with appropriate surround sound, sound system! It’s awesome!

I think that’s it of my weekend. So here are plenty of pics for you all to enjoy:

Josiah and me swimming! We had so much fun

This is Sylvia. She is a sand person. I like her. She is my Friend.

My now all time favorite picture of me and Josiah! You can see the gorgeous ring he gave me on my finger. It has 3 larger dimonds in the middle and 3 tiny dimonds on either side . It is white gold. He call it my Friendship ring.

Another pic of me and Josiah on the Long Island ferry

A nice pic of me and mom

The sign for the ferry.

A nice picture OF the ferry.

A picture of the ferry dock!

This is the entrance into Ellis Island.

And Ellis Island from the out side.

The Statue of Liberty! She was a cool thing to see! I think thats all for now.

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER!!!!

Yes it has finally come! Summer is here! We celebrated this wonderful day at a Festival our town held. It was pretty cool! It was called The Roots and Rythms Festival. It was all about music and art. There were several bands, LOTS of food, and booths of stuff! Mom sold sloppy joes at the church we go to table.  they raised money for missions. Josiah and i walked around, ate lots of food, watch 3 out of the 5 concerts (all put 3 of them were really really bad). I liked the 50's band best. I have some pics:

The banner.
The main stage
The first band setting up
Josiah and i bringing our chairs to the park.
Us again!
There were several preformer's all around town and this was one of them.
Another preformer
The Sloppy Joe table
All the people!

We had allot of fun. Josiah and i left early with the little boys cus it was a really long day.

VBS stated at the church. I help mom in her class. I serve the little kids popcorn and water as they watch a short movie.  Its ok, not my favorite thing to do, but it is still fun. Josiah comes along and helps mom with the dvd player (don't ask
) and today we might help out with the sound.whats cool though there is an hour break in between classes so Josiah and i go out.
Saturday we are going on vacation!!!!! Dad is taking the boys camping and mom, Josiah and i are going to NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. We are going to stay at my Uncles in Staten Island. We will hang out at the ocean and meet Uncle Joe and Mrs. Chritsy for dinner and just walk around. I cant wait! On Sunday we are going in to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. YAYAYA!!! We are going to eat all the delicous NY food!

Well i must run. See you all later!

Greetings and Salutations!
I has been long! Life is good around here.  I started working on my 50's dress! I bought the pattern off estsy.com for like $5. It is pretty involved but i think the out come will be awesome. I will take pics as i go along so here is the first installment:
I am making the dress on the left. this is the fabric i am using.
And here it is being cut out. The dress in the end will be beautiful.

So, nothing much is going on around here. We had a storm last night. Rain and hail and lightning! Around 8 o'clock (last night) we heard this great crack! we ran  and look out the window in time to see a  part of a tree fall down in our neighbors yard. It was huge and it fell on the electric wire. All the houses to the right of us lost power. We thankfully still have it. We were glad no one was hurt and nothing was really damaged.
This summer (as i am sure i have told you) i am planning on doing allot of reading. Here the list i have compiled so far of titles that i have gotten out of the library:
  • Stories and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe- Awesomely creepy!
  • 13 Little Blue Envelopes-great so far!
  • I capture the castle
  • A tree grows in Brooklyn-great so far
  • Animal Farms
  • The best fiction of Rudyard Kipling
I joined this awesome website. What you do is post paper back books on to the site. When somebody wants one of the books you posted you print up a lable and mail it to the person. For every book you sell you get one credit, for every credit you have you may get 1 book, any book you want for free! here is the link to the website:
http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php
Cool isnt it! I already gave out 2 books. and for the first 10 books you post you get 2 free credits. I got Alice and Her Adventures In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and The Westing Game. I am going to start collecting all my favorite books, especial form my childhood, so i can give them to my kids!

So to finish up i took this quiz:
You are a Brainy Girl!
Whether you're an official student or a casual learner, you enjoy hitting the books.
You know a little bit about everything, and you're always dying to know more.
For a guy to win your heart, he's got to share some of your intellectual interests.
A awesome book collection of his own doesn't hurt either!

Well, i must go.

The weather, the egg, Luch, and my mountain dew collection

Aloha! How is everyone! Boy is it hot here! and not just hot, its hot AND humid! i hate this weather. I like it when its hot and sunny with a slight breeze. But it humid. Dad is going to put in the AC when he gets home.Sad to say Josiah had to work today! I should be happy because today is ALL overtime and he needs the money. Isnt my title funny?? But i will expound on all of the topics i gave you. So the first ones down, the weather.

My lunch, Ultimate Crumb cake and mountain dew. YUM!!

The egg:
The other week Ryan found a robins egg in the yard. The nest had fallen out of a tree and Ryan thought for sure the robin was still alive. We all disagreed, but Ryan took it in the garage and put it in a bowl with Paper Towel and placed it under a desk lamp. Low and Behold last night, the egg hatched! It was amazing! We were all shocked. Then we realized, what do we do? So mom went online and found a number of a local bird shelter. The people said to feed it cat food soaked in hot water and bring it to us tomorrow (which would be today). SO thats what we did. At 6:45 this morning after mom brought Josiah to work at 6:00, she got in the car and drove an hour and a half away to the wild bird shelter to drop off the bird. Thats what i call a good mom!
 My Mountain Dew collection:
The Coco cola company is putting out this year a new collection of soda. It is the same flavor drinks but in these awesome metal bottles! I already have the entire mountain Dew collection, see:

 Aren't they awesome???

Hello! Long time no post! the last time i posted was in May and here it is June! I cant believe the year is half way over!
LOST is over for the year. I LOVE the season finally. I loved the ending and cant wait fir the next season. I was So glad Sawyer didnt die. He actually did something heroic. Clarie showing up in Kates dream. Weird! I think that she is dead, which saddens me cus i liked her. I thought it was interesting that she was not on the helicopter like Charlie for saw in his vision. Anyway, Ben is dead! Wow! How did he get of the island? how did he get off the island?? Also, Sun working for Widmore. Is she turning to the dark side or is she going to double cross him???? Next season will be good.
We finished school last Friday, but i started back up again on Monday. I am doing Math, French, and history reading which adds up around to 2 and a half hours of school each day. Not that bad. I am looking forward to the summer though. I LOVE summer. I wish we had a pool, but we dont. We were going to get one this year but our yard cant hold it because of where the septic is. Mom might buy a little pool for the boys. I am hoping to find some place to go swimming around her. We have a local pool but, not for nothing, it is NASTY! It turns an interesting shade of green by July, so i will not swim in it. There might be some lakes around here but i dont know where. Promise land state park is cool but is 45 minutes away. It is a big lake, it has a beach but you can also swim in other parts without life guards.

I have been working on a list of books to read this summer, so far i have read one. i am i the middle of an awesome book called A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. I love it! It is so hard to find good books now a days. All the new books that come out are filled with boys or peer pressure or stupid "i am woman hear me roar" nonsense. So i have resolved my self to reading the classics. Once i finish my goal book list i will post it.
To finish off, i will post my all time, absolute favorite poem ever: The Walrus and the Carpenter

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.

The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"

The sea was wet as wet could be,
The sands were dry as dry.
You could not see a cloud, because
No cloud was in the sky:
No birds were flying overhead--
There were no birds to fly.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.

"O Oysters, come and walk with us!"
The Walrus did beseech.
"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Along the briny beach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To give a hand to each."

The eldest Oyster looked at him,
But never a word he said:
The eldest Oyster winked his eye,
And shook his heavy head--
Meaning to say he did not choose
To leave the oyster-bed.

But four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat--
And this was odd, because, you know,
They hadn't any feet.

Four other Oysters followed them,
And yet another four;
And thick and fast they came at last,
And more, and more, and more--
All hopping through the frothy waves,
And scrambling to the shore.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Walked on a mile or so,
And then they rested on a rock
Conveniently low:
And all the little Oysters stood
And waited in a row.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
"Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

"A loaf of bread," the Walrus said,
"Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed--
Now if you're ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed."

"But not on us!" the Oysters cried,
Turning a little blue.
"After such kindness, that would be
A dismal thing to do!"
"The night is fine," the Walrus said.
"Do you admire the view?

"It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf--
I've had to ask you twice!"

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,
"To play them such a trick,
After we've brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"The butter's spread too thick!"

"I weep for you," the Walrus said:
"I deeply sympathize."
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Those of the largest size,
Holding his pocket-handkerchief
Before his streaming eyes.

"O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.

Isnt it cool!
