Tuesday with Tirzah
Ok so it is Wednesday, but what a week I have had!
Tirzah's baby sister is realy missing her, so pray for Talia. Yesterday she hugged her mama and said she is never going to Africa!
The Team Email says they are now on their way to Gisenyi. Remember this is on the Congo Border, so PLEASE pray about their protection and safety. They were only going to go there if it was safe, so it must be!
They are also going to Byumba so they will be out of email range this week. This is were a refugee camp is located so please pray for all Tirzah's young eyes are about to see.
And hopefully she will see a hippo since she will be at the lake (o:
Psalm 121: 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
NOW on a separate note, On Friday the 12th, I am going to be having knee replacement surgery again for my right knee. PLEASE pray for me. Your prayers are what got me through this the last time. Your prayers are what keep Tirzah safe. Our God answering the prayers of His people is what binds us all together under the precious blood of the lamb. It is an honor to pray for you and to know that you are praying for me.
If you are praying for my doctor and his team, His Name is Dr Ching. Here is the link to what I wrote the last time http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/bubbebobbie/527994/ Everything is the same except for the date. Tirzah comes home that Monday, so I hope to be home before she is!
I am thankful for having you all in my life, your love and friendship is more real than most face to face relationships I have ( I know you understand that!)
I love you!

Tirzah's in the Air
Posted in Tirzah hsp missions
Yesterday when Heather was picking me up at 3:15 am because we have to drive into Chico for 4:00am shopping, we talked about Tirzah. For as we were driving she was dressing; As we left Penney's She was driving to the airport; as we left Kohl's She was going through Security. By the time we were in Walmart she was flying to Chicago and landing there about the time we got home.
This morning she is again in the air after a night in Brussels and flying to Kigali. Hopefully she woke up to the taste of Belguim Waffles! Yum! She should be there some time this evening. It blows my mind to thing she is half the world away from me. How grateful I am to know that she is exactly in the center of God's will. Heather received an email saying they were one their way, so we know we will be getting regular updates ...Yea!
So his is where she is headed The center of Rwanda. It is such a small country and filled with so many hurting souls. After the trouble in India this week, Yesterday was spent taking phone calls from Job's comforters. I pray they only speak to my ear and not to Heather and Sam about their "concerns". What they need to hear are faith filled prayers, not doom and gloom possilities. Please pray about this, their hearts , all of their hearts need to be steadfast.
Yesterday was also a day filled with prayer for other things as well. When we came home from shopping I found out my sister terri was in ICU at the hospital. She had gone to the ER for a Migrane and the shot she was given gave her heart attack symptoms. So they are monitoring her heart and today she will have a stress test. She was suppose to have neck surgery on Monday. So please pray that they find out what the problem is and have wisdom concerning her surgery.
I also found out our dear Tiany is having a miscarriage so please lift her and her family up to the Lord as they work through this process. She is such a blessing and joy to all of us. Pray for her.
"I love the Lord Because He hears my prayers and answers them." Psalm 116:1
UPDATE!!!!!!!
Tirzah just called her mama. It is a little after 8:00am In Kilgal. She is smiling so big you could feel it from half the world away! She was getting ready to begin her first day, eat her first breakfast in Africa and IS the happiest girl in all the world! THANK YOU for all of your prayers for her safe travel there!
Also, my sister is home and her surgery for her neck is still on track for Monday. The shot they gave her for her Migraine throw a false positive for a heart attack and she is now told never to have that drug again. So thank you for that prayer as well. Please pray for her surgery on Monday.
I love you all and I am smiling from ear to ear too!

A Message from PapaSmurf and a reminder to prayer this Thanksgiving
I received a note from MamaSmurf's husband today. It has not been very long since Chrissy went to be with the Lord and the approaching holidays will be their first without her. SO I want to ask you tomorrow when you gather with your family that you honor her and say a prayer for her family as well. PapaSmurf has wanted to thank you all and asked me to share the note I got with you. We are so blessed to be homeschooling our families and to have these transparent cyber relationships. When I say I love you, I am not being cute, I REALLY love you all. You have touched my heart and life in amazing ways. I am truly thankful for all of you... Because of Jesus, Bobbie

Dear Bobbie,
Thank you so much for your kind message, and your thoughts at this important time of the year. Like you, I am so thankful to have had Chrissy in my life and thankful that Chrissy chose me to be her life partner.
Deiniol and I miss her terribly and are just coming to terms with the fact that Chrissy is no longer with us, although, she is with us in spirit as we think about her all the time and she motivates us to do things daily.
I was amazed at the hundreds of messages that we received from around the world following Chrissy's passing, it made us realise how many people's lives Chrissy had touched. At Chrissy's funeral service there were a large number of people, home educators, some of whom had travelled several hours from other parts of the country to attend and say their own goodbye.
I'm sorry, I'm starting to ramble a little, I'm getting rather emotional and teary eyed as I write this, trying to keep strong for Deiniol's sake but here are times, like now, that it gets to me.
Could you please pass on my apologies to all Chrissy's lounge sisters for not responding to their messages, or not advising everyone of what has been happening. I've not even read all of their messages because I have found it too painful to continue to do so.
Overall, Deiniol and I are coping quite well, we have, and support, each other, I have family that live locally and are very supportive. Chrissy's father, who is elderley, lives just over a hundred miles away and we speak to him most days and help to support him in his loss. With the help of the Lord, who supports us and guides us every day we will fight our way through this diffcult time. Chrissy will be with us, always, and will never cease to be loved.
Finally may I take this golden opportunity to wish you, and your family, a happy thanksgiving. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to send our best wishes to a true Chrstian home educating family.
Our thouights are with you at this special time.

I'm Late , I'm Late for a very important date
How did Friday come and go with out me noticing it?
Maybe it was all the crocheting I was doing to get hats made for Tirzah to take with her to Rwanda?
Maybe it was going to the doctor and scheduling my next knee surgery?
Maybe it was senting Tirzah of half way across the world with all the prayers my friends hearts can pray?
All I know is somewhere during the last week , Friday ran away and I did not get my show and Tell up on time!
Then I look at all Mary did and still managed to show and tell her candle and give me a fudge recipe!
So I will show you some of what I did the week and be the last one to arrive at the party!

Tirzah has been collecting hats from all over the world to take with her to Rwanda to the Orphanage.

These are what I worked on this week. A little flower topped hat and a Beret.

This is my model

Didn't she do a great job? She held so still for the camera!
So, That is my show and tell with Canada Girl even though it is late! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and please when you gather around your tables, Pray for Tirzah.

Tuesday with Tirzah ~ Leaving Tomorrow
It seems like we have been waiting forever for this day. Endless trips to recycle bottles and cans and generous loved ones that found a few dollars here and there to sponser her Mission trip and now it is Finally here. Tomorrow Trizah gets on a plane for So Cal., flying over fires being fought by many of the same firemen that collected their water bottles for her over our summer of Fires. There she will complete her training and head for Rwanda.God has opened every door, so wide that running through them is all that could be done! And Tirzah is running! How could we say you are too young when God's call is so blinding on her like on the road to Damascus! Some of the doors God opened for her are these.
She has been invited to share her testimony on Rwandan radio. My thirteen year old granddaughter is going to share Jesus and His love for them on National Radio. She is going to go minister to AIDS orphans, not orphans with AIDS but children who have become orphans BECAUSE of AIDS. In the process of sharing wiith various churches in our area, she is taking them a few hundred dollars, a gift from her home town to theirs. If only she knew in my eyes she is the greatest gift to Rwanda. She will also be teaching them about Malaria prevention. When did she become so smart and aware of the world outside of her own.
Does it seem like I am rambling again? I probably am. You see, my Granddaughter, My sister and my brother-in-law are going to Rwanda! I have known all year this day would come and now here it is!
When our granddaughters were dedicated to the Lord, My beloved always reads Psalm 121 over them. It seems like tonight is a good night to do that once again. I may do it again before she finds her way back home (0:
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
How thankful I am that Tirzah knows without a doubt where her Help comes from. When she was not quite three I remember her running through the house looking for her rainboots in almost a panic. There was a storm outside. When we asked her what she was doing, she said She needed to get ready for Jesus. Her daddy had told her about Jesus coming in the clouds. Storm equaled clouds equaled Jesus.
2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
And not only where, but WHO her help comes from as well. Her relationship with the Lord is so strong and has been well tested for such a young Lady. Her testimony of His care for her is deep and true.
3 He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
It was not so very long ago she was laying in a hospital bed vomiting blood from an unknown source and having one test after another done. So many were up that night praying, seeking God and praising the Lord tha HE does not sleep. In the wee hours of the morning she was healed, not by doctors who are still stumped, but by the Lord.
5 The Lord watches over you-- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
In a short while, the moon will be shining on her as the sun is shining on us. She will be under the care of Her God , reaching out wit HIs love and hers to so many that are in need of a Savior that loves them enough to send her to them.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life;
He has for the last 13 years, He will not stop, He does not change His call. So even though I am send ing her with Bug Juice, It is the Lord I am trusting in to keep all harm from her.
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
From the day her "Pa" prayed these words over her to today and all the while she is in Rwanda and even after she returns, He will always be the one that is watching over her life.
Please pray for her from Nov 18- Dec 15

Show and Tell with Canada Girl
Well here it is, Show and Tell friday with Canada Girl. I love Show and Tell with Canada Girl, Truth is I love CanadaGirl, she is my twin.
So besides this Picture, My Show and Tell is the Right column of this page!

All of you in one way or another made this show and Tell Possible. You have prayed, You have clicked the PayPal Button, you have clicked her blog button which was made by Prince Philip (Canada Girl's Son) How much older she looks now than that little girl face on her button. SoCalVAl made the Who shall I send button for my chatbox. How supportive you all have been. You have encouraged me and her with all of your comments. You have down loaded her Prayed Card HERE so that while she is away she will be covered by your prayers. YOU have been used mightily by the Lord. You have helpedthis Dream from a year ago become a reality. Who would have thought a 12, now 13 year old girl would find a way one can and bottle at a time to go to Rwanda.
She was told today that they may put together a small VBS children's program for the Orphanage and was asked if she new about Flannel graphs. Her mom's response was she things she knows "about them" from Veggie Tales when they say "OOOOOH Flannel Graphs!" So that will be a new skill for her to acquire. She has been practicing the Salvation cube which folds in and over itself changing scenes to tell the Story of our Salvation through Jesus on the cross.
One other thing I found out today and I just giggle as I think God is arranging everything in Rwanda for Tirzah, is they just changed their national Language from french to English! How easy that will make sharing the gospel in the future.
During next week they will be making Wordless books and bracelets as well as simple crafts. They have a commissioning Ceremony on Thursday with her team. How exciting that will be for them. Tirzah is also has a Commissioning Ceremony tonight as her "sending Church" gives her over to the care and commission of the Lord.

I hope you have all been watching Tirzah running to catch her plane on the Right hand column as her support has come in. As of today, she is three dollars over!!! God is so good, He always gives you more than enough. WOO HOO way to Go God!!!!

Each day her joy is just a little harder to contain!
So I have asked for prayer, but left off dates. Silly me! She will be leaving US on Wednesday to fly to So. California where she will meet up with her team and spent the next few days getting things ready. So you can begin praying now. They will be traveling all over Rwanda, so as I find out where they are you will too! She will be home to us on Dec 15th. Can you all pray that long???
I am counting on it!
There are rumors of a cease fire in the Congo, how good it would be for peace to find a hand hold in this neighboring country. It is also reported that Rwanda , Germany and France are looking for blame of the 1994 Genocide Story Here so please pray about this situation as well.

So here she is hugging the sign of opportunity. Trusting the Lord with all het heart . Thanking Jesus for HIS indescribable gift to her. Wondering what lies behind the door He has opened for her to walk threw. What ever will she see? Whose life will she introduce to her Jesus? What child will earn that a young girl came across the world just to hug them? What a realm of possiblities!
Colossians 4:2-4 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
So head on over to CanadaGirl's Show and Tell as see what else the Lord is dong in our midst!

Tuesday with Tirzah ~ One more week to go
Tomorrow Heather and I and all six kids will be shopping. We will be out getting last minute things for Tirzah to take with here to Rwanda next week! NEXT WEEK! all year long she has been working and striving to this end. And now it is here, all the last minute things are beginning to be checked off the the list. Today My Beloved and I went to the Army surplus store and bought Tirzah Bug Juice. Military grade keep the mosquitoes with malaria away, bug juice! There is something about going to a country with nets over your beddings and classes on Malaria prevention that just screams Bug Juice! And since we bought bug juice, I also bougt her a tye-dyed banada, again thinking bugs.
Now since we are on the subject of bugs and somehow when I think of Africa or South America, the thought of eating them comes to mind. You know kind of like the competions on Survivor where you have to lift a silver lid and devour what ever is present. So my granddaughter and Her Mama have been learning to say a phrase that will serve my "I don't eat sauces on anything including spaghetti and pizza" Granddaughter well. She has learned to say " I am a vegetarian" which will work will for this kosher living sweet heart!
Does it seem like I am rambling? I probably am. When our granddaughters were dedicated to the Lord, My beloved always reads Psalm 121 over them.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from?
