((Happy Dance)) I am figuring it out ! (meaning wordpress)
I am finally getting my side bars very close to the way I want. ((happy dance)) I was really stumped on the widgets and a had a lightbulb moment, LOL. When you go to your widgets on your dashboard you need to click and drag them to the sidebar you want. BUT, you need to put in order EACH and EVERY widget you want IN ORDER as you want them. Then you will get them. Ohhhh ((((happy dance))))). I was really stumped on THAT one. ((blush)) I just figured out how to add text instead of about me so I will be doing that soon. You use the widget that says…( of all things) text and give it a title like jenn4him did ” Welcome Friends”. I think my links that give the url needs to be changed to just a title and that will fix the funny lines that are out of wack on my side bars. I will get there soon but not at this moment. Running out of time. ((sigh)) But I am sooooooooooooo happy to have a eureka moment. Ohhhhhhhh a(((((happy dance))))). Ohh btw if any of you are wondering which template I used. I used …”GloriousDay. The reason I used it was because it had the biggest spot to put a custom header. There was another one that was good for that too that had a different background colour it was was “SeaShore”. I was also dealing with a long intro of my blog so I need one that wouldn’t overlap with things. If you don’t have that ((blush)) then you have more possibilities than I did. [0= If I have done anything on my template that you want to know what in the world did I do then ask. I am so happy to help if I can. Now, I can’t wait till we get the go ahead to use html and then…..I can tweak some more !

I can’t figure out how to get my friends list on my page. I would like to add my “buttons” again too, but don’t have the slightest idea how. I doubt that I’ll get it figured out. With working f/t, I simply don’t have much patience to spend looking around, trying to figure things out. I am really disappointed with the changes. My page looks so plain, and thus, uninviting. Not much reason to keep blogging.

Glad you are learning things. I’ve used WP before, so I had an idea about using widgets and such. I’m having fun too playing with it all. I still can’t wait until we can edit the HTML more. They said by Monday, maybe. That will be great.

I have successfully posted my most visited friends in my links catagorie.Now I can zip around and visit quickly. Chatzy was wonderful and a perfect remedy to a hard week!

Mary, I updated the code (and shared it w/Sally) for the cbox to correct some of the problems hers had in it, and I have it on my blog…it’ll open in a new window this way, rather than linking folks away from your blog. It’s in a “grab it” box, so shouldn’t have any doulbe quotation marks or anything.

I’m enjoying the spartan look of my blog for now; it was getting too crowded and I needed to go through and strip some things down. I’ll just consider this my bloggy Spring Clean, lttn! I have been having more fun posting since I got my USB cord than I have prettying it up. That will come!

Way to go Mary! You blog is looking very professional! Very cold over here normaly it is around 100 degrees by this time! Hubby is working all weekend but gets Mememorial Day weekend off yahoo! I love that square on your blog that isays Ok he is so perfect theres this guy his name is Jesus! That is so cool!

I am still working on this ! I do love the challenge. Change can be good so I am optomistic! I am concerned I will loose the other blog on the wedding though as it is not being reconized as my blog because it is under a different user name and password and wordpress will only allow me the one account. At HSB I did two accounts so the family could access just the wedding blog. The techs have not let me know how to fix this yet. Hopeful! Looking forward to chatzy today! Blessings

Hot dog, Mary! We are getting there, slow but steady. I like your blog set up a lot. I do miss the backgrounds and cbox, but at least we can personalize some for now. I went through and cleaned up my links when I figured out that they could have names. Wow, that was a big job. Now I have things almost the way I want them. I’d like to make it more feminine somehow.
