Books We've Read Lately

This is the "again!" symbol: @. It represents approximately how many times I had to read a book over in the first day or so, with extra points for remaining popular over several days.

Who Is in the Garden? by Vera Rosenberry. @@@

A little boy spots all sorts of animals hiding in the garden. Beautiful pictures.

Have You Seen My Duckling? by Nancy Tafuri @@@@

This one took a while to grow on me, as I don't care as much for books with little text. But D1 loves looking at the ducks, as usual.

The Boats on the River by Marjorie Flack @@@

More of a poem than a story. We read this one sitting in a boat made from the ever-useful boxes.

Mommies Say Shhh! by Patricia Polacco @@@@@

Animal sounds AND a baby sleeping. What could be better?

A Huge Hog is a Big Pig by Francis McCall & Patricia Keeler @@@

I don't think she gets the word game bit of it, but she likes to look at the photos of children and animals. She's convinced the boy in a red t-shirt and blue jeans is her Uncle Mark, who does indeed often wear a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
