Chapter 1.1 Narration by Bill, age 11

We learned about vertibrates and invertibrates.  Invertibrates are animals that don't have backbones, like crabs, oysters and flys.  Vertibrates are animals that have backbones, like monkeys, fish and aligators.

There was a half Roman, half Barbarian named Stilicho.  But he thought of himself as all Roman.  He said to the people (after he had fought many battles) that they should pay  the barbarians to leave them  alone.  But the poepl did not like this.  And so they ordered his death. Bill age 11

While Nero was having a party, a fire burned up Rome. A messenger came to tell  him but he sent him away so he wouldn't spoil the party. And when he came bak the people were wainting for him.  They said, "Rememevber Augustus."  Nero gave a little money to them but then he made a mistake. He said that where their old houses were he would build a palace. The people were angry at him so he thought of who he could blame for the fire. He told them that the Christians made the fire. Many people did believe his lies.  Many Christians were executed and put in the arena and fought wild beasts. shiloh clemons age8

we learned about Nero.  Nero was the worst king of Rome. He was not like Augustus Ceasar.  He was mean to the people. One day, he decided to go on vacation.  he went out to the coununtry with his friends. The party lasted fpr days. While he was having a party, a fire burned uyp Rome.  to be cont.

This is Joe. He was in the Mikado. He was the young one with different sleeves from the rest. shiloh clemons age8

  that is me and bill, i have a red handle for my sword and bill has a black one. we were in the play. the play was on saturday. betsy and mary and joe were in the play. shiloh clemons age8

 this is Aaron, our  stage manager.  he tells people how long they have until they are on stage. he helps mr. hargraves out and he also plays the acordian. bill clemons age10

We learned about elephants and glow-worms and earth-worms and hippopotomus.  And we learned that African elephants have bigger ears.  Shiloh age 8

We learned about cheetahs, ostridges, and giraffes.  Cheetas can run really fast.  Ostridges can kill a lion with one kick.  We aslo learned about lions. shiloh clemons age8

I want to write about Cheetahs. Even though cheetahs can reach almost 100 miles an hour, they cannot go for long without stopping and resting.  Instead of roaring from a distance and charging, they sneak up really close, then attack.  It gives their prey less chance of escaping. If the cheetah was still evolving from, lets say, a dog, it would die right after it caught its food. Because at the speed a cheetah goes, it needs more air so it can breathe better.  william james clemons age10

 I bought this DVD set from Vision Forum.  It has been a wonderful addition to our homeschool science curriculum. While showing beautiful photography of nature, a calm, soothing-voiced  British- accented narrator gives sceintific facts about wildlife and discusses the fallacy of Darwin's evlolution theory.  My children, from high school to preschool are able to absorb so much learning, each on their own level by just watching this program.  They are getting Biology, Bible, and logic all at the same time. And I am getting a coffee break while teaching science.

We watched this movie about fish.  Evolutionists think that cows evolved into a dolphin,.   The dolphin sheds it's skin.  If a cow did that while it was still evolving, it would die of cold. william jame clemons

We learned about dophins. Some scientist think that dolphins evolved from some kind of cow .Dophins breath through this little hole on top of their head.  Shiloh age 8
