Christians—We are the 3rd Political Party
As a Christian, when listening to the platforms of both the Republican and Democratic parties, it is not long before it’s clear that neither party is a true fit for our Christian values. I have often thought, when listening to political ideology, that we simply need a third political party to represent us. But don’t we already?
Are we Christians not already linked with extensive commonality; probably more than the Republican or Democratic Party? Absolutely! We are linked by common beliefs, common values, and common ideals. What is our platform? The Bible, of course, holding and presenting all truth. How should we vote? As a Christian, every single vote should be based on our platform of truth and justice presented in God’s Word.
The character of every candidate should be compared with Biblical standards. Every single issue should be compared with God’s Word. If they don’t hold true…do not vote for them.
Although I’ve wavered in the past, I am now committed to absolutely refraining from voting for the lesser of two evils. I must vote for that which is right and true. By the world’s standards, we can think of innumerable excuses of why this will not work. However, holding to God’s Word always works! To say otherwise, is a lie of the enemy.
At any election, we must not vote Democratic or Republican. We must vote Biblically. Our pulpits and churches need to be “aflame” with the Biblical ideas that has made
