Say That Again?

Posted in Education

Our oldest daughter, Lily (4), often leaves the "s" off of words that begin with an "s" blend. So snake becomes nake, stop it becomes top it, and scratch becomes cratch.

But when she loudly (and proudly) belched at the table the other day, she offered a cheery, "Oh, excuse me, I chirped."

"No," said Ethan, "You burped."

"Oh, sorry," said Lily, "I ... [long pause]...SBURPED."

Much better.

Cute post.
I saw your post over on Amy Scott's Humble Musings and had to leave you a note.
I am almost to my 5th under 5.
All have been ecologically breastfed, until I just gave up after number 3 and bought a pacifier. If I'm gonna be this fertile, I'm at least going to be sane, ya know?
At one point I was breastfeeding 3 and pregnant with #4. Now I am only nursing 2. My 3 month old and my 2 year old. Before I saw your comment on Amy's blog, I was seriously wondering if I was the only one whose children were spaced this way.
Anyway, just wanted to drop by. Your children are adorable, by the way.
