A little about us

Let's see: We are a military family who is currently in Germany. The snow has been falling for these past two days.

I do not homeschool. At least, not on a full-time basis. I do what the
kids need or what the teachers tell me they are having problems with. I
mostly homeschool, in the summer, when I have full access to the school
library and outdoor experiments.

My main concern is my 9 yo. The concussion was 3 years ago, while he
was in Kindergarten. At about 18 months post-concussive, we noticed
that he was again climbing the learning scale. Memories were returning,
and the learning process was not taking as long.

We still struggle with reading, and all that that entails. I am at a
loss. I still read to him, and we do whatever work the teacher sends
home. I will also give him a worksheet or two, if nothing is sent home.

He has become more creative since the concussion, but he also has
become more aggressive. I am learning to deal with his bad behaviors,
one at a time.

He loves math and science. His most favorite things are dinosaurs and building things with Legos and Megablocks.

Thanks for stopping by!
