HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY, DOZER!

Me: Who’s birthday is it today?
Dozer: Chichen’s… (his way of saying his name, even though it sounds like he’s saying chicken)
Me: Say my birthday.
Dozer: Noooo, it MY burday mommy!!!
And so it went until we got to How old are you now? and he’d reply his name Chichen… Eventually he lost his temper and growled at me like *I* was the one that didn’t understand!
I had a video clip of our conversation, trying to blow out candles (which he is apparently not very good at doing), riding the carousel at Chuck E. Cheese, and his great stash of presents (including an entire Brio set of wooden train tracks and cars– that are battery operated!!!– that I purchased for 75% off earlier this year). But I was foiled by technology when the memory card for my camera got bent and now it won’t fit into the computer.
Anyhoo, Happy belated 3rd Birthday my big boy and big helper! I love your outgoing personality, the way you always insist on being in the thick of things (most of the time), your independent spirit, your big grin, how you always bring me flowers and a kiss, how you can kick a ball straight and far, and even your love of fwogs…

they grow up so fast don't they? My Jake will be 9 on the 17th and my Gevan will be 11 on the 19th of this month. We have some celebrating to do too!
Give that cutie a hug and tell him his mommy's friend said "Happy Burday!!"

I ablolutely love your blog! And, yes, I feel connected because I have two lovely boys as well (would like to have a third, I think), and they are ages 41/2 and 21/2. I can relate to just about everything I have read so far! You are a very good writer. It is fun to read your writing. I find myself flowing through all kinds of different emotions at the same time…
And, thank you for visiting my site. I read your comment just a little bit ago. I want to clear something up… I do not have a green thumb…LOL! It is a miracle that my seedlings have actually turned into real plants, and I only have one of each of the four plants at that. That is the funny part! Any other plant I have tried to keep eventually always turns brown (due to lack of water, I think) and dies off! I think it drives my MIL nuts! When she comes to visit she is always walking around and watering what she sees (bless her heart, she is a sweetie).
By the way, I absolutely love the two boys singing Awesome God! I love that song, too. I watched it last night, and I still can't get the lyrics out of my head. They are too cute!

The pic on the little horse cracks me up- we have a silly one like that of my 2nd boy on a little horse, it's almost the same shot, and it's been one of our family's favorite pics for years! Too cute!
