My giveaway for Heart of the Matter's Virtual Homeschool Conference!
With the cost of gas sky-rocketing and the lack of a reliable sitter, nanny or grandma-in-close-proximity to watch my kidlets, it is very hard to find the funds or time to get away to a homeschool conference! I am sure many of y'all can relate. That is why I am super-dee-duper excited about Heart of the Matter's First Annual Virtual Homeschool Conference!
It has the best of all worlds-- freebies, encouragement, great speakers, timely topics, workshops... AND I can attend while I'm in my pj's and drinking coffee! Have to run out for a bit or miss even entire days? No problem! You can simply download the audios to listen to later-- at your convenience (in this house, most likely after 9pm when the kids are in bed). Geeze, I'm beginning to sound like an informercial. ANYHOW, here is the offical schpeel (scroll all the way down to see how you can win a FREE TICKET to this conference):

In Heart of the Matter Online's quest to bring you the absolute best home school resource online, they have listened to your requests and are providing you with a fun filled online adventure! On July 30th through August 3rd, they will be hosting Heart of the Matter Online's first annual Virtual Homeschool Conference! They will be providing the attendees with motivational speakers, video tutorials, free products, question and answer sessions, and a vendor hall - all ONLINE! Just log on and listen live during that time or log in at your convenience and download the audios.
This conference will be less like a "seminar" and more like a bunch of close friends in a chat room. Just wait till you see what some of your favorite home school personalities have done to educate and entertain you! At the end you will join in to chat with them, ask questions, and they will answer.
To ensure your spot in the conference room and to take advantage of the early bird special. Simply, visit the Heart of the Matter Online Conference site and click the "pay now" button. At $19.95 these prices won't last long! This $19.95 includes a fabulous $30 package from Currclick: curriculum in a click! Currclick (formerly HomeschoolEstore) is the largest one-stop shop for electronic lapbooks, affordable curriculum, and homeschooling resources.

I am giving YOU, my wonderful friends, the opportunity to attend this amazing event for FREE. I have 5 tickets to give away! Your ticket includes the $30 package from Currclick! To enter my giveaway, just leave me a comment. :-) See? I told you this is an easy conference-- it won't even make your feet hurt! This contest will close on Monday night, June 30th. Whenever I get tired of being awake, I'll random number thingy 5 winners.

I am not entering (hope that does not mess things up for you!), because I already won a ticket over at chickadee's, but I wanted to say that I can hardly wait for this conference!!!

I was using the "Search Random Blogs" feature tonight to check out other blogs and was so glad that I did when I ran across your blog. I am definetly going to save it to my favorites. I absolutely LOVE the idea of a virtual homeschool conference! Thank you so much for sharing that information!

Here I am. I don't stoop to beg, but I'd love to win :) I can't exactly attend a homeschool convention either.
I was over there at HOM the other day (got an e-mail, thank you) and thought about the online convention, but haven't decided. I will decide after I find out if I win one of your free tickets!
Seriously, come to Peru. Spend a couple days in Machu Picchu and then another couple days in Trujillo (with us!) and then the last couple of days in Huaraz or Cajamarca! Or plan your own trip, but come! I would so totally have to come to Lima to meet you! hahahahahahah, wouldn't that be SO funny?!
Love ya,
Amy

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's grandfather. I know how sad that can be and very hard even if they've lived a good long life and you know you will see them again--they are still missed. I will be thinking about praying for your family. God Bless.

I went to our local homeschool conference here a few weeks ago. I put on my sandals and John asked if I needed to wear more comfortable shoes. I said that I was just going to the vendor hall that night and I'd be fine. Boy was I wrong! My feet were killing me! The next day I wore my sneakers! Sitting at my computer desk at home sounds like an even better idea.

I can't believe you only have 9 comments for this contest! The blogosphere sure does get quiet in the summertime.
We missed going to the homeschool convention this year. I always like to go with my husband. Now I'm just spending hours pouring over websites trying to make decisions about curriculum.

I'd love to enter. Since it conflicts with one of my girls' out-of-town performances/camp, I haven't been to a convention in 5 years!
Wonderful post on last words. Yes, it is sad, no matter the age of our loved one or how much it was expected. I pray the uncle finds someone to love and care for him where he can be happy and peaceful.

Thanks for the info. My dh and I made it to our first conference this year. It was great. But this looks like a great alternative for another year.

I'm so bummed that I missed your contest! I'm new to homeschooling and would have LOVED to have attended this conference.....especially if I could have attended from home.
Maybe next year. :)
