Making a Portfolio
In our state, we have two basic options for assessment. One is testing and the other is a portfolio. I have done a portfolio every year but they have been pretty boring. I'm hoping to jazz it up a little this year. I know, I know, it's only November, but I would like to start putting it together now and then add to it when we do new things. Every year I wait to the last minute and then throw it together. BORING!!!! I'm wanting to add elements like pictures of activities and field trips. I want to make lists of books they read, activities they were in, special classes they attended, but I want to make it more scrapbook style. I love scrapbooking and I think it would be fun if I used my hobby in our school. Does anyone have any ideas they could share on portfolios?

I don't have any ideas on portfolios, although I HOPE when I get there I can work on it through the year. Thanks for your comment on my blog. We're actually in Cincinnati, but we drove through Chillicothe on a weekend trip last year and stopped at the Hopewell center. There's also a place nearer us at Fort Ancient (we used to live up there) that we want to visit sometime.
