I'm going to Scream!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel better now! NOT! Could you please pray for our family. I just feel like we can't catch a break and I'm feeling just a tad overwelmed. The last year was just horrible. It started just before Christmas of 2005, since then we've had one thing after another. Here's a list:
1. Dec 2005- Littlest one has neck surgery and spends the next 7 1/2 months in a brace that when from head to stomache, front and back.
2. Water Softener took out and had to be replaced
3. October- oldest one has problems with meds and has to be hospitalized while adjusting them.
4. October- a friend from highschool dies at only 37 years old.
5. November- friend's baby dies
6. Day before Thanksgiving- our washer takes out, has to be replaced. We also replaced the dryer because it was taking over 2 1/2 to dry things and had a bad smell coming from it.
7. Thanksgiving- found out my Grandma had cancer.
9. November- Several things went wrong with car that had to be fixed.
8. Christmas Day- Grandma dies
9. Dec. 30- our heater takes out, has to be repaired and because it was a weekend it cost more.
10. LAST NIGHT- Our plumbing backed up and spewed out of the toilet. We had toilet water all down our hallway and in our kitchen. To make it worse because of all the reorganizing we were doing, we had not put away some Christmas gifts and they were in the kitchen and now they are ruined! So we had Rotor Router out about 1 in the morning and I finally got to go to bed at 3:30 this morning.
We are already REALLY hurting for money. My husband had a really good job but because of years of medical problems with our children such as hospitalizations, sleep study, MRI, CT scans, x-rays, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lots of medicines, lots of specialists, therapy, we are really, really in debt and we are really worried because we are just stretched too thin. I'm trying to remember that God is in control but I'm having a really hard time with it right now. Could you please pray for our family?
Sorry that this was so depressing. I'm trying not to sound like a whiner.

(((HUGS))) I'm sorry for the losses of your friend and grandma! I'm also sorry for all the illnesses and financial struggles you've faced and are facing. You're in my prayers!!
Thank you for the thoughtful, encouraging comments you left on my blog. I do appreciate the homeschooling community, and you may be right that there isn't another place like it. For now, I'm still investigating the options, but you certainly reminded me of one of the big benefits of HSB.

Sounds like you have had a difficult year. I pray that God comforts you especially right now with the plumbing and the financial situation. I pray that you allow God to lead you through each decision and actions as you go through these days ahead.
Remember to rest in His care!

((((((((((Sister)))))))))) Hang in there. There is hope, there is always hope......we have the hope that never dies. Hang in there, I seen for my self, first hand, that out of the ashes of our lives, God makes miracles. Remember? He parted the Red Sea, He caused water to catch on fire, He provided Manna in the Wilderness, He caused their sandals not to wear off for 40 years, He gave them a cloud by day to protect them from the heat of Day, and a cloud of fire by night to keep them warm and protection from predators...... Believe me it does get better. (((((hugs and prayers)))))

Wow, you have had a rough... well, long time! Especially the deaths but everything just adds up and makes it even harder to deal.
Will be praying for your family.
