Mesopotamia Unit Study

We are starting Ancient Mesopotamia this week in History.  Our main curriculum will be Story of the World, but we will also be using A child’s Book of History, Usborne books and Kingfisher books and various other books.  Here is kinda a mini unit study for Ancient Mesopotamia.

1.      Accordion book with time periods- write about each period

2.   Layered book – different jobs in Mesopotamia-  such as Scribe, Priest, ect.

3.    Tab book- Life of Gilgamesh

4.    Venn Diagram- compare Sumer to Assyria or to Babylon or compare Mesopotamia to Egypt.

5.    Vocabulary List

6.    Shape Book- Ziggurat

7.    Write name in Cuneiform

8.    Make list of numbers in cuneiform

9.    The coloring pages would make a nice front cover

10.    Make a flapbook and list some
  Hammurabi’s Codes

11.   Do a question and answer fold for some of the   rulers of Mesopotamia

~Prince Caspian~



Prince Caspian is a very energetic, creative 12 year old. He enjoys Narnia, Star Wars, reading, and building with Legos. He excels at History and Science. Unfortunately, he suffers from ADHD and OCD and he is staying at his grandparent's house for awhile.
