China Studies for Chinese New Year
|
We are studying China for the next few weeks. Chinese New Year is coming up on February 18th and we are studying Ancient China in history so I thought this would be a great time to learn more about the country of China. I have 3 units, I split them up because they will go into different categories in my archives but they can be intermixed for a more thorough coverage. The three units are Ancient China, China and Chinese New Year. Also if you still need resources for Valentine’s Day, check out my Valentine Unit Study .

I hope you have fun learning about China. I gotta wonder if Barney will make an appearance as the dragon for the New Years' festivities. :)

Thank you for this information! I thought I left you a comment earlier, but apparantly I didn't. My husband's birthday was on the 18th. So I combined his birthday with The Chinese New Year and had a big celebration. My kids made 2 different types of lanterns to put up in the house. And we made a big paper bag dragon costume for "Daddy" to wear. You should check it out on my blogger blog: http://tripletsrajoy.blogspot.com/2007/02/chinese-birthday-bash.html
But you helped a great deal in me learning all about the Chinese New Year. Thanks! Chelle
