The Voting Has Begun!
|
The voting has begun!!!
Vote Here!!!!
I am not real good at campaigning or anything. I’ve never done this before!!! I would like to say again, I feel honored to have been nominated. There are many really good blogs in the running. I would be honored if you would consider voting for me in the best unschooling/ eclectic homeschool blog category. I am listed under the name of Christian Homeschool Academy which is the name of my blog as well as the name of our school. I also want to thank Sprittibee, Laura, and Heather for getting the Blog Awards together. They did an amazing job of pulling this together. Please remember that several of our friends are up for various categories. They have some really great blogs! Good luck guys!
Feel free to poke around my site! I have several unit studies that I have written
and some articles about Lapbooking. You can find the units and articles in my category section. Not all the categories are filled yet, but I’m adding new stuff all the time so feel free to check back and see if there is a unit you can use. Please don’t miss my newest unit on reptiles. It is the post right before this one. I also added a link to a new product and a freebie two posts ago.
Thanks again for the nomination and again I hope you will consider me when voting for Best Unschooling/ Eclectic Blog Category.

Thanks SO much for the info on the OCD books. While checking them out, I found a book by one of the same authors, on anxiety, which is another thing we deal with here, so I plan to order that as well.
It's actually my oldest son who we believe has anxiety/OCD/ADHD, although we don't yet have a diagnosis. My next son, Jordan, is high functioning autistic.
I voted for you!!
Thanks again for your help. I can't wait to check out the reptiles info!

The curriculum I use, TOG, already includes comprehension questions for the literature they read so I don't think the unit study guides would be a good fit. (unless I wanted to use them for quizzes or something:)
But thank you for your review- that really helped! (and your sweet comments too! :)
Love, Alyssa

with the nomination and voting.
Are you interested in writing for us? I would love you to write an article about what lapbooking and unit studies are. The article would be posted at:
http://www.homeschool.scoop411.com/
This is where I linked to you too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a post. Loosing Alexis has been very hard on us.
Take care,
Michelle

I wrote a post about my oldest, describing some of the stuff that's going on with him. I've found that many of the kids who have sensory problems, or autism, OCD, ADHD...have simiilar characteristics. Several of my friends have adopted kids who were drug and/or alcohol affected, and they wear many different labels, but they all have similarities. Neither of our sons fit in the box. One seems to be obsessive, but not necessarily compulsive. He also has some traits of autism. Our autistic son isn't typical, either; he has some traits but not others. I wouldn't care either way except that I want to know how to best help them!
Please let me know if you end up liking or recommending one of those books more than the others.
Thanks!
Denise

Thanks for your comment today. I am so surprised that it is over, really. I had given this over to the Lord and He surprised me by all of this happening. I have my girl back!
