I had to take the little one to the doctor. He has strep. My oldest son's strep test came back negative, so I guess he'll probably get it next. Unfortunately, because my little one is having trouble with medicine they had to give him a shot, they said the needle was thick and it seem to hurt pretty bad. He got 4 tubes of blood out of his arm once and didn't even flinch, today it took two of us to hold him down and I was about to start crying along with him because I knew it had to hurt bad for him to act like that. We couldn't do the meds though, because he's now to the point he will puke them up. He puked up a Benadryl last night and he won't let us even near with a medicine that he isn't 100% sure of. He starts gagging at even the thought of it. I'm going to have to get a strep test tomorrow if I can. My throught is irritated and I have a headache, so there's a good chance I may have it. Unfortunately, I'm suppose to be going to my best friend's going away party tomorrow. She is moving to Poland for a few years. I'm going to be really sad if I can't make that party. I guess I'll just have to see what the doctor says....

I am so sorry to hear that you had such a rough day and now might be getting it yourself. I wish I could run over and give you a day off or bring you dinner! I hope you don't have it too.

I had strep 3 times in one year, and my family never got it. For you it might just be exhaustion, I pray. I can relate with the medicine. Until he was 9, we had to practically pin ds down to give him medicine. Now, he takes a sip, sips water, takes a sip ..... But he only takes medicine in extreme cases, usually when we've gone to the doctor. I pray that you all get to feeling better soon.

Ah, my son had strep TWO times in three weeks last month. It's a bummer. So much antibiotics! I'll continue to keep your family in prayer... I'm going to keep checking back, too until I hear good news :)

I had said to another blogger ...."I remember when I was in elementary and it was before they had liquid medicine and was still giving shots ! My doctor gave me one BIG a shot in one day instead of 10 small shots for 10 days. My leg was parilized for a few days are a week I can't remember. But I do remember dragging my leg around, lol. I pray you guys get stronger and stronger. "
But I think this comment was for you. I can relate. I hope you are NOT sick in this way. I wish you were closer and I could give you my MIL's .. Cold and Flu tincture. It REALLY works.
Lifting you in prayer my SSiC

So sorry to hear you have all been sick with strep! I had that so many times as a teen, and it is NASTY!
I'm sorry the little one had to go through the shot! I remember having to hold my Gigi down for them to get an IV in her and it tore me up! When we were done I cried & cried. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I haven't been around much for a few days, but I'm going to try to stay more up to date with my blogging friends!
